Silvia Carvalho Arquitetura – Living Franccino SAFRA 25. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Cecilia Neves/CASACOR)
Until October 6, CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026 takes over PUC Lourdes with a grand route that brings together architecture, design, art, landscaping and gastronomy. In its 31st edition, the show gathers 40 projects signed by 54 professionals and occupies, for the second consecutive year, the historic building designed by Raffaello Berti — an address that, on its own, is already worth the visit.
With the theme "Mind and Heart", the edition proposes different interpretations of the relationship between reason and emotion, technology and sensitivity, permanence and the passage of time. But it is by walking through the spaces, taking breaks, entering the stores, visiting the exhibitions and sitting down at the table that the experience of the show gains its most complete dimension.
Atiaîa Lighting Design - Iluminação da Fachada e Externo. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Jomar Bragança/CASACOR)
Built in the 1940s and marked by the Art Déco style, the PUC Minas Lourdes building is part of the Liberdade Circuit and is listed as heritage. Designed by the Italian architect Raffaello Berti, the building preserves features such as the symmetry of the floor plan, geometric shapes and the tall, narrow windows that define its facade.
At CASACOR, this architecture acts as a kind of guiding thread. The lighting design by Atiaîa Lighting Design highlights the volumetry and original elements of the complex, while the contemporary projects establish new dialogues with the existing construction.
Greco Design – Paralaxe. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Jomar Bragança/CASACOR)
Upon arrival, visitors come across Parallax, by Greco Design, an installation covered in mirrors that explores precisely the idea of image, perception and excess of stimuli. Shortly after, the PUC Minas Foyer, signed by Camila Vilela and Bárbara Pazzini, presents an intervention that will remain in the building after the end of the show.
Maycon Altera – Lobby e Bilheteria. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Jomar Bragança/CASACOR)
The experience continues through the Lobby and Box Office, by Maycon Altera, designed to transform arrival into a moment of permanence, and through projects that explore different ways of experiencing the contemporary home.
If there is a trait that runs through much of this edition, it is the desire to slow down. In different scales and languages, the professionals created spaces that value permanence, comfort and the small rituals of everyday life.
Silvia Carvalho Arquitetura – Living Franccino SAFRA 25. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Cecilia Neves/CASACOR)
In Canvas, by Estúdio Sala, kitchen, living room, spa and listening room are integrated into a single experience inspired by the atmosphere of 1970s living rooms. In Living Franccino Safra 25, by Silvia Carvalho Arquitetura, the brand's history appears in a layered composition, with hall, wine cellar, living and dining areas articulated through memories and objects.
Myrna Porcaro – Living e Jardim de Inverno. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Gustavo Xavier/CASACOR)
The Living and Winter Garden, by Myrna Porcaro, brings the idea of refuge into the exhibition, combining art, furniture and vegetation. Meanwhile, The Last Hour of the House, by Eduarda Fernandes, transforms the living bar into a space dedicated to the rituals of the end of the day, among books, art, chess and moments of silence.
Castro Maakaroun Design - Home Office - Entre Performance e Pertencimento. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Mariana Araújo/CASACOR)
There are also more contemporary interpretations of everyday life. The Brastemp Kitchen, by Luisa Mano, brings together different uses in a single space, among work, reading, meals and socializing. In the Home Office – Between Performance and Belonging, by Castro Maakaroun Design, the work projects is no longer merely a place of productivity and incorporates pause, connection and personal life.
Bárbara Antunes Arquitetura - Refúgio Entre Tempos. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Osvaldo Castro/CASACOR)
For those who enjoy observing materials and details, it is worth dedicating time to spaces such as Interlude, by Estela Netto, which combines wood, Brazilian quartzites, fabrics and a curation of national design, and Refuge Between Times, by Bárbara Antunes, marked by curves, natural materials and an atmosphere of quiet sophistication.
In the outdoor area, landscaping is no longer a backdrop and takes on an active role in the journey. The gardens create transitions, areas of permanence and moments of pause — and change according to the light, the wind and the very development of the vegetation.
Flávia D’Urso Paisagismo – Jardim Entretempos. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Mariana Araújo/CASACOR)
In Roots of the Earth, by Cynthia Silva and Kat Rosa, wood, landscaping and architecture create a space designed to slow down and foster social interaction. The Entretempos Garden, by Flávia D'Urso, stems from the idea of the "intentional imperfect": instead of an excessively controlled nature, the project creates the sensation of a garden that has developed over time.
Nãna Guimarães - Jardim Bem-Estar. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Gustavo Xavier/CASACOR)
Another highlight is the Wellness Garden, by Nãna Guimarães, which surrounds the Wellness Cabin, by Fabíola Constantino. Lavender, rosemary and other aromatic species are part of the experience, which is not limited to sight and incorporates different sensory stimuli.
Play Arquitetura - Rivino Bar Banca. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Studio Teluria/CASACOR)
The outdoor route also holds some of the most striking interventions of the edition. The Oca Pavilion, by BCMF Arquitetos, combines 3D-printed concrete and a large rebar structure, reinterpreting references from Indigenous architecture and modernism. Meanwhile, Rivino Bar Banca, by Play Arquitetura, transforms an old newsstand into a bar, proposing a new use for a traditional fixture of the urban landscape.
Flávia Gamallo e Joana Veloso - Criatura Galeria. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Criatura Galeria/CASACOR)
Art also deserves special attention. In addition to being integrated into the interior projects, it holds its own position at the Criatura Galeria, which hosts exhibitions throughout the season.
In the final days of the show, from September 29 to October 6, the space will host a solo exhibition by Leonora Weissmann, presented by AM Galeria de Arte. The program reinforces one of the characteristics of the edition: the possibility of encountering different artistic languages throughout the entire route.
Within the projects, works by artists such as Ricardo Carvão Levy, José Alberto Nemer, Daniel Mansur, Leopoldo Martins, Diego Rodrigues, Sandra Motta, Eduardo Recife and Pé de Pavão appear in dialogue with architecture, furniture and landscaping.
Fernando Godoy – Galeria Auá. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Alexandre Rezende/CASACOR)
At Galeria Auá, by Fernando Godoy, this relationship takes on a particularly interesting dimension. The project brings Brazilian art and design closer together and incorporates works by Marcos Coelho Benjamim, while the pieces also inspire clothing items from the brand, carrying the aesthetic experience of the space onto the body.
It is precisely gastronomy that best helps transform the visit into an outing to spend a few hours. CASACOR Minas 2026 brings together a restaurant, cafés and bars at different points along the route, creating reasons to take a break between one project and another.
Balsa Arquitetura – Agnes. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Jomar Bragança/CASACOR)
The Agnes restaurant is one of the main highlights. In her tenth participation in the show, chef Agnes Farkasvölgyi gets, for the first time, a restaurant that bears her own name. Designed by Balsa Arquitetura, the space features as its central element a large communal table for about 70 people, covered with different compositions of handcrafted tiles.
The chef's own trajectory reaches the menu: the dishes are associated with years that recall moments of her career, travels and memories. It is an experience that also turns the restaurant into a meeting point during the show's programming.
Moretzsohn Arquitetura - Listening bar - Bar Rivo. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Moretzsohn Arquitetura/CASACOR)
Another stop is Rivo, which occupies two floors and takes on different proposals on each level. On the lower floor, the restaurant explores Brazilian, Argentine, Italian and Latin American references. On the upper floor, the space turns into a listening bar, with music, cocktails and exclusive dishes.
Esc Arquitetura - Cria Café. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Estúdio Teluria/CASACOR)
In the gardens, Rivino Bar Banca occupies an old newsstand and proposes a more informal break, with appetizers, drinks, ciders, draft beer and other beverages. The Cria Café, in turn, returns for the second consecutive year, now in a larger space, with 40 seats and a program that goes beyond coffee, including cocktails, tastings and pairing experiences. The beverage curation also broadens the itinerary, with artisanal ciders from ApareSidra, beers from Verace and wine selections from Liber Wines and Casa Valduga.
Holdlianh Beiró - Loja Maison Deboá – Raízes Sensoriais. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Jomar Bragança/CASACOR)
The visit can also be enjoyed to get to know the commercial operations that make up the circuit. At Maison Deboá, Holdlianh Beiró created Sensory Roots based on references to Brazilian and Portuguese ancestry, craftsmanship and the work of artisan women.
Isabella Almeida Arquitetura – Loja Gustavo Eyewear. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Mariana Araújo/CASACOR)
At Gustavo Eyewear, Isabella Almeida Arquitetura turns the choice of eyewear into an experience closer to a ritual, with natural stones from Minas Gerais, a large mirror and an ambience that brings fashion and design together.
Flávia Gamallo e Joana Veloso - Criatura Galeria. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Criatura Galeria/CASACOR)
Criatura Galeria, designed by Flávia Gamallo and Joana Veloso, presents collectible design as an experience, bringing together contemporary authorial production in a space that feels closer to an art gallery than to a traditional store.
Em Cena Arquitetura - Empório Origem Minas - Arte popular Origem Minas. Projeto da CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026. (Jomar Bragança/CASACOR)
It's also worth stopping by Empório Origem Minas and the Arte Popular Origem Minas space, which bring gastronomy, craftsmanship, and local products together in a contemporary reading of the Minas Gerais identity.
In the end, the best way to experience CASACOR Minas Gerais 2026 is not to try to rush through it. There are 40 projects, exhibitions, gardens, shops, and dining venues that function as parts of a single experience.
