Architecture and urbanism play a fundamental role in building more sustainable, inclusive cities that are prepared for the challenges of the future. With this purpose, CASACOR São Paulo will hold, on August 5, the 1st Architecture and Urbanism Forum, an initiative that will bring together representatives of the public sector, the real estate market and professionals in the field to promote a qualified debate on the direction of urban development in the capital of São Paulo.

Held at Parque da Água Branca, where the 2026 edition of the showcase takes place, the forum is born at a time when topics such as mobility, territorial inequality, climate change, infrastructure and the requalification of central areas occupy a strategic position on the agenda of large metropolises. The proposal is to bring together different agents that influence the planning and transformation of cities, promoting a space for dialogue capable of contributing to integrated solutions for São Paulo.

"CASACOR has always been a meeting space between architecture, design, landscaping and culture. With the Architecture and Urbanism Forum, we expand this role by promoting a projects of dialogue between different sectors that think about and build the city. Our goal is to stimulate reflections and bring together professionals, public managers and representatives of the private sector to discuss paths that contribute to a more sustainable, human São Paulo, prepared for the future," says Rodrigo Avelar, head of Marketing at CASACOR.

The program will be divided into three thematic panels, which will address different perspectives on urban development.

The first, Mobility and Urban Infrastructure, will discuss road works, new transportation models, public parks, waterway mobility alternatives and the role of concessions and public-private partnerships in the transformation of the city. Participating in the debate are Elisabete França, municipal secretary of Urbanism and Licensing; Maria Teresa Diniz, director of Projects and Programs at CDHU; and Sandra Santana, councilwoman of the Municipality of São Paulo and specialist in Social Urbanism.

Next, the panel Heart of the City will focus on the revitalization of the central areas of São Paulo, addressing topics such as housing, housing deficit, retrofit and urban requalification. The conversation will bring together Guilherme Afif Domingos, extraordinary secretary of Strategic Projects of the State of São Paulo; Marcos Monteiro, municipal secretary of Urban Infrastructure and Works; and Fabrício Cobra, municipal secretary of Subprefectures.

Closing the program, the panel Social Transformation will discuss how urbanism can drive integrated development, mobility, education, safety and social inclusion, taking as its starting point experiences focused on communities such as Paraisópolis. Participating in the debate are Natália Resende, secretary of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics of the Government of the State of São Paulo; Pedro Fernandes, president of SP Urbanismo; and Fabio Silva, CEO of Rede Muda Mundo, recognized by the UN as one of the main volunteer platforms in the world.

Presented by the São Paulo City Hall, the event is held by CASACOR, CBN and Editora Globo, with institutional support from São Paulo Negócios and endorsement from the Government of the State of São Paulo as Host State. Registrations for the Forum will be announced on CASACOR's social networks.

The 39th edition of CASACOR São Paulo will run until August 9, operating from Tuesday to Sunday, including holidays, always from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Entry to Parque da Água Branca (Rua Dona Ana Pimentel, 37) is permitted until 8 p.m., while the on-site box office and access to the showcase are open until 8:15 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased through the online box office, through the official CASACOR app, available for Android and iOS, or in person at the showcase. Children up to 10 years old do not pay upon presentation of a supporting document. Minors under 14 years old must be accompanied by a guardian. Students, seniors, teachers and people with disabilities are entitled to half-price tickets upon proof.

From bathrooms with accessible stalls to ramps and free circulation for wheelchairs, accessibility remains one of the keywords of CASACOR São Paulo. In 2025, the event received, for the third consecutive year, the Accessibility Seal from the Permanent Accessibility Commission (CPA), reinforcing the showcase's commitment to a more inclusive and comfortable experience for different audiences.
