In 1953, the old terminal of Salgado Filho Airport began to become part of Porto Alegre's history. More than seven decades later, the building gains a new chapter by hosting CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul, precisely in the edition that celebrates 35 years of the show in the state. It is this combination of memory, architecture and transformation that runs through the new CASACOR RS 2026 yearbook, a publication that records the 35 projects of this season and revisits the show's trajectory over three and a half decades.
With photographs of the spaces, project details and the concepts that guided each creation, the yearbook preserves on paper an edition marked by the encounter between contemporary architecture, heritage, art and design. The publication also reveals different ways of interpreting the theme Mind and Heart, explored by the professionals through natural materials, signature design, technology, color, memory and affection.

The cover of the yearbook features Casa Uultis: Expressões de Vida, signed by Cristina da Luz Interiores, which synthesizes this spirit. The project combines furniture, art and meaningful objects in a precise yet welcoming composition, in which the interior choices help to build a narrative about who inhabits the space.
Architecture, however, does not appear in isolation in the yearbook. Art plays an important role in the 2026 edition, which brings together projects such as the CASACOR Art Gallery, designed by Davi dos Anjos and Luciano Mota; the Jardim de Dentro, by Viviane Possa and Humberto Machado, which hosts the audiovisual installation Matéria do Tempo, by Nelson Azevedo; the Immersive Lounge, by Carlos Porto; and Artifício – Design Week POA, dedicated to the relationships between art, design, matter and reuse.

Among the special content in the publication is 35 Years in Motion, a research project that looks back at CASACOR's past in Rio Grande do Sul to also understand how spaces and ways of living have changed. Photographs, documents, objects and yearbooks from different periods help reconstruct this trajectory and show how interior architecture has accompanied behavioral transformations over the decades.
The editorial research dialogues directly with the installation of the same name presented in this edition of the show, conceived by the CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul team in partnership with Daniela Corso, from IF Pro. By placing different eras side by side, the project reveals changes in the organization of the projects, in the materials and in the aesthetic references — but also in the very idea of dwelling.

The choice of the old terminal of Salgado Filho Airport reinforces this relationship between past and present. Inaugurated in 1953, the building returns to participate in Porto Alegre's cultural life by being occupied by the show. The transformation of the space was guided by the masterplan developed with the participation of the architect Aclaene de Mello, who is also responsible for the technical curation of CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul.
"Architecture remains the essence of the show, but it now dialogues even more intensely with art, gastronomy, music and gatherings. Our goal is for every visitor to find a reason to stay, come back and create memories within CASACOR," says Karina Capaverde, director of CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul.

More than following a specific edition, the yearbook works as a record of an important moment in CASACOR's history in the State. Among contemporary projects, references from other decades and the occupation of an emblematic building in Porto Alegre, the publication preserves the ideas and spaces that shaped the celebration of the show's 35th anniversary.
The printed version of the yearbook is available at the CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul box office and can also be purchased online, with delivery to the address indicated by the buyer.
