It is, in fact, a trend and a necessity to seek a healthier and more sustainable life. This has been one of the main pillars of several brands and markets in the creation of their products and experiences. Based on this thought, IKEA and British designer Tom Dixon unite -se, once again, and create a new line of products for the home, with the intention of being used in growing food and home gardens.
"Food is a crucial part of everyday life, and IKEA wants to inspire and enable a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle. If more greens were grown in homes, it would have a positive impact on the planet, with less transport, water use and waste. of food", explain those responsible for IKEA.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The event, which will take place in May 2019, will be the stage for the disclosure of this entire story and partnership between IKEA and Tom Dixon. On the occasion, the duo will present a kind of stand with a garden divided into two levels. The base will include a " horticulture laboratory", where hydroponic technology will be used to grow "hyper-natural" plants. The upper level – described as a "botanical oasis" – will have an ecosystem of trees and plants chosen for their medicinal, health and environmental properties.
