Last Thursday (12), one of Hugo França 's pieces was highlighted at a Sotheby's auction in São Paulo. The Tafui bench, sold for almost three times the initial value, was made from pequi waste. vinegar jar and weighs up to 400 kg. The piece consolidates the international relevance of the artist, who has used wood as the raw material for his work since the 1980s.
In São Paulo, Hugo França's works can be seen in his studio, which accepts visits by appointment, and at the Bolsa de Arte Gallery, in Vila Madalena, where the exhibition Aplomb | Meeting between Hugo França and Tom Fecht is on display.
