MDW: Knitted belts tie up cushions on Patricia Urquiola's sofa

At the Salone del Mobile in Milan 2016 , Spanish designer Patricia Urquiola is presenting the Belt sofa in partnership with Italian brand Moroso. The piece of furniture gets its curious name because it has mesh straps that hold the cushions together.

The modular aluminum frame can be disassembled, reconfigured and added to, allowing the user to customize the piece according to their needs. Patrícia Urquiola has a long history of working with the brand, having designed several sofas, chairs and armchairs. At Milan Design Week 2016 , she is also launching a line of stained glass furniture called The Crendenza.
