MDW 16: Design students create exhibition in which everything can be touched

In response to the massive presence of technology in our daily lives, design students at the Eindhoven Academy created an exhibition at Milan Design Week 2016 featuring objects and installations made to be touched. The exhibition, The Touch Base, was curated by designer Londoner Ilse Crawford and aims to reconnect visitors with touch.

Upon arrival at the exhibit, visitors are greeted with a small zoo designed by second and third grade students. The main exhibit takes place inside a barn enclosed by dark curtains. To enter, visitors must walk down a path lined with boxes. with textured materials.

Inside is a collection of projects by Academy Eindhoven graduates that includes a tableware set made from milk and an interactive stone.
