Known for its dedication to modern and contemporary Brazilian furniture, Dpot brings together guests and journalists in its showroom in Gabriel today (30) for the launch of the 2017 collection, which features three new lines of furniture and reissues of pieces by Fulvio Nanni ( 1952-1995), one of the first professionals to capture the new needs for mobility, functionality and simplicity of Brazilian homes in the 1970s and 80s.
Entitled Muxarabi, the first of the series was conceived by designer and architect Alfio Lisi. Passionate about wood (and an expert on the subject), the São Paulo native sought inspiration in the openwork latticework of this material to compose his pieces. He has won several awards for his lamp designs, Designer Fernando Prado debuts in furniture design and signs his first line, called Oblongo. The uniqueness of this debut collection is due to the harmony between metal and wood, and the more elongated shapes of the structure's joints, which lends even more charm to the final product. The union between the unmistakable art of award-winning designer Domingos Tótora and the contemporaneity and restlessness of Alagoan Rodrigo Ambrósio, gave rise to the Egrégora collection, with pieces made of iron and paper that exude originality and good design.
