São Paulo architect and urban planner Leonardo Dias was elected by the public as the latest winner of the Coronavirus Design Competition , a contest promoted by the international platform Go Architect. The idea for the award-winning equipment arose from the need the architect felt to create a solution to help large cities. to face the challenges brought by the new coronavirus pandemic.

Regarding the international recognition of the project, the architect states: "it was very gratifying to represent Brazil and receive the award at a time when the future of cities is being rethought. Solutions created through design and architecture will be decisive for the resumption of circulation on the streets and in social life with greater security and awareness".[newsletter]
