Rustic style, wood, coziness, nature. These are certainly not the first words that come to mind when you think of the federal capital. Well, it's time to rethink your concepts and get to know the 23rd Casa Cor Brasília, which occupies more than 7,000 m² of an old building in the Graphic Industries Sector (SIG). Despite the location, it is not concrete and industrial style that dominate the 45 spaces presented, although these references are present in various forms. This year, the 72 professionals who signed the projects decided to go in the opposite direction: they express the urgency and pleasure of contact with nature, in spaces facing the greenery that surrounds the exhibition site or incorporating materials that dialogue with sustainability. Relaxation is the watchword in places that come to life with the use of fibers, leather, fabrics, stones and especially wood. Nature also determines the color palette full of beiges, caramel, honey, brick, and earthy tones in general. Several walls are textured, highlighting the need for more interesting ideas not only for the eyes, but for the other senses. And the lighting projects are careful and strategic, highlighting only what is necessary so as not to lose sight of the intimacy. A more reserved, cozy and natural Brasília is what should surprise visitors to Casa Cor Brasília 2014, which has just opened its doors and will be on display until November 18.
