A manor house full of history will host CASACOR Bahia 2015

The mansions and mansions are very characteristic of the capital of Bahia, Salvador. The buildings form the most opulent set of ancient architecture in Brazil. And it was in one of them that Luisinha Brandão, a franchisee ofCASA COR Bahia , chose to host the exhibition. Solar das Rosas, located in the Campo Grande neighborhood, was the former home of Barão de Sauípe in the 19th century and is currently the home of the Voluntárias Sociais da Bahia, who have partnered with the exhibition. "The process of choosing the venue was very careful, as always. This year, we had the fundamental support of the Social Volunteers, the state's first lady, Aline Peixoto, and Ipac (Institute of Artistic and Cultural Heritage). Without them, we would not have been able to secure such a representative property," says Luisinha.

“This is a beautiful property, in excellent condition, with wonderful wooden floors and marble tiles, a 4.5 m ceiling height, gorgeous Art Deco tiles, recently renovated painted walls, air conditioning installed, in short, ready to serve as the setting for CASA COR Bahia 2015”, explains Luisinha. The renovation of the Palace for the exhibition will continue after the visitation period ends, and the Social Volunteers will return to their old location, which will become a listed heritage site. For now, they are working at the Rio Branco Palace. “There are a lot of electrical installations with exposed wires, for example. We are going to organize all of this, paint the walls and repair the floors and part of the roof that is damaged.
