The fairs that take place in São Paulo in the first half of the year are always good places, not only for buyers and exhibitors, but also for the design and decoration regulars. These small displays bring good news and items that promise to be trends this year. And that's why we couldn't help but visit them and point out some of the ideas that we found incredible found in each of them.
ABIMAD The 23rd edition of
Abimad - Brazilian High Decoration Furniture and Accessories Fair - took place from February 7th to 10th, at the SP EXPO Exhibition & Convention Center. The fair is dedicated to highly decorative furniture and accessories. Among the 150 exhibitors, we highlight the new collection from
6F Decorações , the
Viginti Collection line, made up of a series of decorative elements inspired by a mix of styles, a clear influence on the 80s, as well as references from Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles. .
The collection is created by businessman and designer Marcelo Felmanas, known for his high demands on quality and influenced by his trips made last year to England, Italy, France and Germany, as well as two long trips to Asia.
“All of this is being presented at this very special moment in which our company, which is buzzing with new ideas and new products, celebrates 20 years, always maintaining this challenge of offering its own and differentiated path, with products that are always among the decoration highlights .
.”, reveals Marcelo Felmanas. Another beautiful piece found at the fair was the
Lume Lamp , designed by designer Bruno Faucz for the
Tissot brand. Made from freijó wood, the lighting object has an incredible design, which makes it sculptural.
Felipe Bezerra and André Gurgel, from
Mula Preta , launched two pieces during Abimad: the
Amilcar table – made of bent metal -, which matches perfectly with the armchair of the same name, as well as the
swivel version of the Macchiato chair – made with metal and customizable feet – which has its traditional version, on wooden legs.
Craft Design brings together the best in the gift, decoration, design and art segment. This year the fair took place again at the Frei Caneca Convention Center, in São Paulo, between the 10th and 13th of February 2017. In this edition, the premise of the event was to highlight Brazilian design in utilities, art and design pieces, solutions to serve well, children's items, fashion, accessories and stationery. One trend we noticed was the use of different objects that served as vases or plant compartments.
Among the 100 exhibitors, we highlight the work of
Wood Mood - a company specializing in handmade products, which transforms wood waste into exclusive design and functional objects. The
Rustic Medium Demolition Light is made of rustic Peroba Rosa, lamp with special filaments, 1 m long colored power cable, E-27 socket, supports lamps up to 40 W bivolt.
In addition to lamps, Wood Mood also manufactures pieces that serve as bases for succulents and plants.
Sacada Design is a collaborative design, decoration and
lifestyle portal that brings together items carefully handmade by Brazilian artists. The brand presented
Hanger Glass at the fair, a ball made of glass, leather and cotton cord that serves as a place for a succulent. In addition to the
Hanger Crate with mini ceramic vase.
Vitafiore uses micropropagation technology to multiply plant seedlings and grow them in glass containers. The result are creative, sustainable decorative objects that match various lifestyles, even the most urban.
ABUP SHOW In its 34th edition,
ABUP SHOW brings the
Brazilian Color Committee to present the Latin American Color Study Center Chart, CECAL 2017, and officially launches the color Lápis Lazuli, the first of the 36 colors in the CECAL chart. 2018. The fair took place between the 10th and 12th of February, Centro de Eventos PRO MAGNO.
Among the objects at the fair that focused on the trendy tone, we found the soup bowl from the Blue Ming collection, inspired by Dutch Delft porcelain, resulting from the partnership between Dutch designer Marcel Wanders and the Portuguese porcelain brand Vista Alegre. Plates, cups, candlesticks, vases and pots complement the line.
