Tom Dixon 's interest in promoting "the meeting of food and design", as he himself puts it, is what led him to launch The Manzoni restaurant in Milan. Just in time for Milan Design Week , the opening of the boutique restaurant, filled with pieces from the designer's new collection, comes with the promise of being a space to slow down and relax.
He also says that Milan is experiencing a "second Renaissance": not only is the world of design bustling, but also that of fashion, art, culture and crafts. What better time than now to settle in the city? Located on Via Manzoni, in the center of Milan, the street is part of the Fashion Quadrilateral - a luxurious block where Italy's most famous galleries, boutiques and showrooms are concentrated.
Among the pieces from the collection included in the restaurant’s furnishings are the upholstered chairs called Fat, the metal Spring pendant lights, and the translucent globe-shaped Opal lamps. The elements were arranged to soften the concrete construction of the spaces.
