Soft and pleasant: 2016 was the year of pastel tones at CASACOR!

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Living da Praia - David Bastos. The predominant white only gives license to other soft tones, such as pink and the blue serenity of the kitchen cabinet, which houses the ceramics from Studio Heloísa Galvão. In the center, the brushed steel table evokes the industrial style, designed by the architect for Mekal. The seating reinforces the proximity of natural elements in the curtain's palm straw, cotton rug and linen sofas.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Living dos Amigos - Alexandra Tobler. This urban oasis brings references to the Scandinavian style, evident in the pastel tones. They combine with the emotional memories present in toys found in thrift stores. Nature also plays a central role in making the environment welcoming, present in the green wall of succulents and the rock crystal chandelier.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Estúdio Jabuticaba - Nildo José. The multifunctional concrete bench surrounds the space and is a key piece in the 43m2 loft. It serves as a hat rack, sideboard, shelf, fireplace log holder and dining table bench. The feeling of continuity and spaciousness comes from the use of Canadian wood on the floor without baseboards and on the walls. And the name of the space comes from the jabuticaba tree in the living room.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Home Cinema - Bruno Gap. In addition to watching movies, you can gather friends to play games at the dinner table, prepare a meal in the kitchenette or simply chat, since the theme of CASA COR this year is celebration. The style has a Scandinavian influence, present in the bright colors and the sofa designed by the architect.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Tribute to 30 - Roberto Migotto. Three decades of CASA COR and the same length of the architect's career are celebrated in the space that harks back to the 1930s. More precisely, the era of French designer Jean-Michel Frank and even artist Salvador Dalí, who designed a chair in the space. With his partner Ricardo Minelli, Minotto worked with nude tones, especially on the parchment-covered walls. Some of them also display works by the duo EMME2.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Bathroom – Eduardo Bittar and Karla Bittar. The space was designed as a refuge. When choosing finishes, natural, ecological and sustainable materials were prioritized, such as bamboo rulers and sheets on the floor and ceiling. The traditional bench gives way to a wooden table where the vats, lamps and some other objects are supported. In terms of furniture, the highlight is the Oscar armchair, by Sérgio Rodrigues; Banco Trinco, by Lia Siqueira; in addition to the series of photographs of Amazonas, by artist Adriana Bittar.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Young Entrepreneur's Space - Ana Maria Miller. The mix of wood, lacquer, various fabrics and metals creates a contemporary atmosphere. A wooden panel created by the architect embraces the space and acts as a room divider. The Big Bang lamp, by Italian designer Enrico Franzolini, is being presented for the first time in Brazil. Another new product launch is the wall covering from the Pixel by Fernanda Marques line, which highlights optical volume, in addition to the porcelain tile applied to the floor with a Calacata marble pattern.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Flat Terracotta - Débora Brayner. The spaces are multifunctional and integration between them is guaranteed by the open elements. Rustic and urban elements come together in the furniture pieces, combined with natural materials to create neutral and cozy environments. Clay, mud, cement, wood and bricks appear in the coverings and lead the palette of raw tones.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Movie Living – Lana Débora. The concept is to value family relationships in a spacious living space that can accommodate conversation, children's play, or a movie night. Neutral tones predominate and contribute to the luminosity.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Farm Loft – Mariela Romano. The professional integrated a home office, living room and balcony, inspired by the comfort of farmhouses. Halfway between rustic and refined, she opted for a corten steel sculpture and a bookshelf with asymmetrical niches, designed by herself. The floor was covered in light porcelain.

Gourmet Balcony in Rio - Silvana Albuquerque. The beauty and joy of Rio inspire this light, bright setting, full of designer pieces. The reclaimed wood is present, but the use of 3D wall cladding and elegant tones such as off-white and blue balance the style between rustic and modern. Another modern detail is the brushed brass light fixtures.

Pastel colors are less vibrant and less bright, but they are not always light. They tend to convey a sense of peace and calm to the environment, as well as making it more elegant. At CASACOR Brasília 2016 , Débora Brayner, who designed the Flat Terracota , chose pastel tones as the predominant tones in the composition of a delicate and feminine space. "Pastel tones are timeless, sophisticated and make any space inviting and cozy," says the professional, who chose specific objects in more intense colors to compose the décor.

Soft and gentle, this shade is usually associated with children's or women's spaces, but CASACOR 2016 showed how it can be used in sophisticated and versatile projects. Check out the gallery!
