Restaurant brings colors and textures from Mexico to CASACOR Bahia

David Bastos 's vision returns to CASACOR Bahia in its 24th edition, this time with Restaurante Amado . The great inspiration for the project comes from Mexico, street culture and regional crafts. The bright pink of the walls warms up the space and makes gatherings more intimate, turning meals into an experience. The texture of the walls was kept rustic, a proposal by the architect to combine simple finishes and modern elements, such as the large mirrors that hang from the ceiling and decorate the front wall. The central bench was designed by Bastos and adds a real touch of sophistication to the space, thanks to the use of Juliet quartzite on the top. The Funghi stools were made from ebonized wood by artist Rusimar Brumol especially for the project. The metal structure that starts at the bench and goes all the way up to the ceiling, where there is a raised vertical garden with its own lighting, is a highlight. “I used cobogós concreted on site, in an asymmetrical arrangement, to create a play of light and shadow throughout the space and natural ventilation”, explains Bastos.
