The winner of the Architecture module, Gabriela Schmidt Pretzel, a student at the University of Vale do Itajaí, designed Casa Taipa, a home for the elderly, with a philosophy focused on sustainability and which functions as a refuge for the elderly.

Winner in the Interior Design category, Marina Ruela Cangussu, an interior design student at the School of Design - UEMG, created the project for a couple with different personalities, but who live in balance, enjoying their time together and the space where they live.

The inspiration came from the olive branch to define the color palette, which displays natural tones such as olive green and the texture of straw, creating a feeling of belonging. Marina's kitchen, quite compact, stands out for the choice of metals with a mix of finishes.

Divided into two categories, Interior Design and Architecture, the student award had six finalist projects, three in each category. The challenge of the year for Interior Design was to design bathroom and kitchen spaces for a compact housing unit, with a plan previously provided by the competition organizers. For Architecture, the objective was to research new ways of living and design what the bathroom and kitchen would be like in this new context, with the requirement to present ideas for both spaces. The jury responsible for choosing the winners was made up of big names in the segment, such as Ana Maria Bogar, Cristina Bava, Mara Chap Chap, Fátima Barnabé, Antonio Ferreira Júnior and Flávio Butti.
