Men also have a place at CASACOR Rio 2016
There is a legend, a myth, an urban story that says that decoration and design are for women. Spaces with a masculine atmosphere and décor are increasingly present in store windows, decoration shows and even in homes. Since this is a trend, it could not be any different at CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. A garage that becomes a living room, with a surf theme, an open-air bar, an office that is also a very elegant reading room inspired by the Panair plane are just some of the spaces that stand out at the Rio show with this theme. Check them out below! CACO-BORGES_Garagem-de-Estar-Renault_-01 Caco Borges designed the Renault Living Garage for the exhibition, inspired by a surfer who takes his car in search of perfect waves and always keeps his vehicle close by. The decor features surf-inspired items, such as surfboards and a metal structure that is reminiscent of St. Pancras train station in London. FERNANDA-SAMPAIO,-JÚLIA-SAMPAIO-E-RAÍSA-RODRIGUES_Bar-De-Gin_DIV-02FERNANDA-SAMPAIO,-JÚLIA-SAMPAIO-E-RAÍSA-RODRIGUES_Bar-De-Gin-50 Young architects Fernanda Sampaio, Júlia Sampaio and Raísa Rodrigues designed Bar de Gin , a place based on sandy and neutral tones, where touches of blue and yellow on the wooden, aluminum and synthetic fiber furniture bring the space to life. Here, you can taste the best gin and tonic prepared by an Italian bartender. JACIRA-PINHEIRO_Adega-02 In the basement of the mansion, an original wine cellar had walls and a vaulted ceiling made of solid bricks, as well as a solid wood floor that was a surprise during the restoration. With this base, Jacira Pinheiro created the Wine Cellar space in the exhibition, measuring 18 m². Contemporary pieces interact with objects from the antique dealer Arnaldo Danemberg. The lighting is spot-on, with items such as the Delight wall light by Ingo Maurer. A dreamlike space! MARIO-SANTOS_Escritório-e-Sala-de-Leitura-01 Mário Santos was inspired by the former Panair airline to create the Office and Reading Room. Almond-colored wood tones coexist with light grays and polished copper metallic details. The Fuselagem table resembles the wings of an airplane, designed by Mário, who also created the bookcase with horizontal louvers and sliding boxes.
Occupying the original annex to the mansion is Mercearia da Casa , a Paula Neder and Luiza Pedral space, where you can taste special beers and snacks. The space has peeling walls that reveal solid bricks. On the wall in front of the entrance, pink hexagonal tiles coexist with other coverings and highlight the shelves with products for sale.
