The love of cooking in the kitchens of CASACOR Santa Catarina 2017

Although very different, the two kitchens at CASACOR Santa Catarina share a love for cooking and social spaces. The Dois Mundos Kitchen was the winning project at CASACOR Archathon 2017 and for good reason. Its 19 m² were inspired by the relationship between Giuseppe and Anita Garilbaldi and therefore bring delicacy and brutality together, in reference to the couple's affection living with their hectic political life. Cement, wood and iron are side by side with vegetables, spices and graffiti on the wall. The three architects responsible, Aline Pires , Natália Moneró Prates and Thiele Londero, created the space to be functional, linear and meet the needs of its occupants, but without losing its charm: the island counter and the sofa are present so that moments in the kitchen are also pleasant moments of interaction.

The Greenery Kitchen – by Diego Viali and Mirian Rodrigues – is a tribute to Pantone’s color of the year. Its spacious 32 m² are filled with the tranquility that the shade of green provides. This eco-friendly kitchen also has an island-shaped countertop and a vertical garden that makes it perfect for a family meal or a good coffee.
