Milan 2019: unmissable events at Design Week

In just a few days, Milan will be transformed to host the most important week of events in the world of design. From April 9 to 14, the Salone del Mobile will take place at Fiera Milano Rho, and at the same time, the Fuori Saloni will be taking place throughout the city. In various spaces, such as shops, galleries and museums, major furniture brands and designers will set up showrooms to present their new creations. And they don't usually hold back on creativity.

Moooi - A Life extraordinary in Milan / When: April 9th to 14th / Where: Mediateca Santa Teresa - via della Moscova, 28 / The Dutch furniture brand always creates surprising installations at Design Week and, on many occasions, designer Marcel Wanders , founder and main name at the helm of the label, is present to welcome visitors. Based on the name of the exhibition and the look of the invitation, this year the atmosphere seems to be somewhat ethereal in the new collection.

Materialmessage, by Laufen / When: April 9-13, 11am-8pm, and April 14, 11am-5pm / Where: Teatro Arsenale - via Cesare Correnti, 11 / Laufen promises to take visitors on a tour through the brand's 127-year history and also present what they think about the future. Everything will be assembled with ceramics from the industry and the spaces will form an experience connected in two points: the raw material and the finished product.

Troupe Workshop - La Noir / When: April 9-14 / Where: Palazzo Litta - Corso Magenta, 24 / Atelier de Troupe took inspiration from 1970s Hollywood Neo-Noir to showcase its new products in Milan. Gabriel Abraham, a former set designer, created furniture and lighting inspired by Robert Altman's "The Long Goodbye". Chrome tubular shapes covered in leather or fused with glass create a cinematic collection.
