In an original annex attached to the mansion belonging to the Rocha Miranda family, there is the charming Mercearia da Casa space, designed by Paula Neder and Luiza Pedral at CASACOR Rio 2016. The indoor and outdoor space, on the deck designed by landscaper Raphael Costa Bastos, has the atmosphere of a cozy and modern grocery store. “It feels like a magical corner of the garden,” says Paula Neder.
The duo explored the concept of contemporaneity: well-being in the message and contrasts in the ambiance. A striking feature of Paula Neder's projects is the composition of colors and materials based on a neutral base: gray, pink, wood tones and orange and aqua green details.
The place is also a meeting point for visitors to take a break and have a snack. The place will have food and products from Deli Delícia, with the menu including the famous Bacalhau Punheta, some mini quiche of the day with leaf salad and smoked salmon sandwiches, raw ham and vegetarian falafel. For dessert, there will be Mini Blackberry Cheesecake and the sugar-free chocolate and hazelnut pie.
The House Grocery Store awaits you, from October 11th, at Rua Marques de São Vicente, 268 – Gavea.
