“Sounding sea, bottomless sea, endless sea...” is the name of the space designed by Marcelo Salum at the Santa Catarina exhibition

At CASACOR Santa Catarina 2017 , Sounding sea, bottomless sea, endless sea... is the space designed by architect Marcelo Salum. With 90 m², the Dining and Living Room was inspired by the beauty of the ocean and beaches. The project was designed for a middle-aged couple who appreciate art and the Wabi-sabi philosophy, which values the transience and beauty of imperfect things. The environment has the mission of being unpretentious and essential and sheltering the family surrounded by the people they love, who receives groups for soirees, studies and dinners. 
Furniture inherited from family members tells the story of the residents and is filled with memories and feelings. The central round sofa provides comfort and intimacy and was designed by Salum himself in partnership with architect Frederico Cruz . The furniture also includes pieces by Jader Almeida. and Sergio Rodrigues . The table for 12 people is suitable for meals, studies and work. 
The property's original walls, ceiling and flooring have been restored and maintained. In some shots, the old paintwork is revealed, and layers of paint from other eras revisit the mansion's history. The entire space is filled with works of art. One of the corners It houses a bookshelf with plants and books. Illustrations of shells and a large painting with the image of Iemanjá complete the peaceful atmosphere of the space.
