The
Loft do Casal Ciclista makes it clear right away why it was designed: it is aimed at two modern, up-to-date adults in their early 30s who share a passion for sports, especially cycling. Project by
Cristina Côrtes and
Claudia Sant'Ana for
CASACOR Rio de Janeiro , has double height ceilings and a splendid view of Guanabara Bay. Right at the entrance to the
loft , a large LED panel welcomes visitors and recreates the adrenaline of outdoor environments, on a simulator screen that allows residents to cycle in any city on the planet. On the opposite wall, two bicycles were positioned as part of the decoration. . “Pedalling generates the energy that the bikes consume, eliminating the need for any connection to the electrical grid,” says Cristina. The eco-friendly proposal also appears in the kitchen, set up with repurposed cabinets found in a storage room.
The decor follows a contemporary style, with an industrial influence, in which black and white colors predominate. Design trends, such as the
modular sofa positioned in the middle of the living room and the round mirror, also find their place in the project. In the bedroom, the closet with transparent glass closure has a dual function: in addition to the traditional configuration, it also serves the need to act as a divider for the space. The painting
“Cycling Couple on the Beaches of Pajuçara” by the artist Pedro Caetano, made especially for the bedroom, stands out. for this project.
