Collectiveness and earthy tones convey affability, in an environment that draws on neoclassical sources to rethink modernity

Revisiting historical artistic segments and extracting their best qualities are practices that architect Ary Polis and decorator Renan Mutao adopted for CASACOR Paraná 2019. The duo was not content with just studying neoclassical ornaments and their compositions, but also took charge of re-presenting them with a modern twist. Thus, the newcomers to the exhibition were curated by visual artist Eleuthério Netto to reveal different textures, shapes and colors displayed in pieces from the collection and exclusive to the space. "These are mixtures that reveal antiquity, but with traces of today's world. They are photographs, paintings and sculptures that show today's society: a little bit of everything", comments Netto.
