Physical and spiritual purity
Those who are accustomed to Brunete's colorful and cheerful projects would hardly imagine her designing such a monochromatic space. White covers the walls and furniture, reaching even the occupants themselves. The truth is that this rupture in personal style reflects precisely the moment of abnormality and of the pandemic. “We need to return to simplicity,” as she herself explains. From a historical point of view, since the sanitary reforms of the 19th century, the color white has been associated with the idea of hygiene, since it allows impurities to be easily detected. The living room and kitchen, in addition to being bright, have uniform and clean surfaces. few decorative objects, making them very easy to care for.
