Garage integrated into restaurant combines adventure and sustainability
Under the command of the architect duo Mariana Freitas and Teresa Castro, the 144 m² space at CASA COR Alagoas 2015 took on a dual function: an integrated garage and restaurant. The extremely welcoming result reflects the lifestyle of a young man who is passionate about car rallies and adventures lived in different corners of Brazil. “We combined all the concepts of the Duster with Brazilian culture represented by natural elements, always with solutions that include sustainability,” explains Teresa, one of the project’s authors. In addition to driving his Renault, this young man has a restaurant that also displays national references in both the furniture and the coverings chosen for the floor and walls. FullSizeRender

Spotlights built into the ceiling highlight the relief of the bamboo panels lining the wall at the back of the garage. garagem 2 And in the area reserved for the restaurant tables, pallets that transport vehicle engines were reused and transformed into wine displays, installed on the wall. The vertical garden with coconut tree seedlings divides the two areas, but does not obstruct the view of those who want to admire both the photo exhibition and the design of the Renault car.
