The glossy brown wall catches the eye as soon as you enter the
Writer's Studio : the color serves as a backdrop for the mix of classic furniture and ethnic elements that permeate the 28 m² divided between bedroom and office. To inhabit this setting at
CASACOR São Paulo 2018 , architects Paula Bignardi and Paulo Azevedo thought of a character who seeks inspiration on trips through Europe and Asia and uses these references when writing and decorating his space.
One of the duo's inspirations is the American writer Ernest Hemingway, who lived in places like Spain and Cuba and experienced different cultures. In addition to the work desk, literature is represented on the bookshelf with over 700 books. The color palette favors earthy, golden and red tones and different textures appear in natural fibers, wood and various fabrics. Contemporary paintings and old botanical drawings are present on the walls.
Among the furniture, among antique items and custom-made pieces, the bed stands out: designed by the architects, it is covered in tribal fabric, which gives the room an ethnic feel. The dressed table also draws attention: Characteristic of classic decoration, the pleated fabric has been embroidered in terracotta red. The feature also appears in the niche in the wall made of drywall: in this part, the linen was installed as if it were a tent, leaving the inside of the closet exposed.
