A Reading and Tasting Studio , a library, a wine cellar and an office, the multifunctional space was designed by René Fernandes for CASACOR São Paulo 2017. The irregular plan fits like a glove to accommodate the space.
“I imagined a space with low ceilings, like a ‘cave’. An ideal place to enjoy a good wine with friends or read a book without rushing”, says the architect. The highlight here is the Cavour desk by Italian architect Carlo Mollino. In the reading area, it is easy to find books on the panel-type bookcase made of channels. The carpet is by Alfredo de Oliveira.

In another part of the 25 m2 space , unconventional bookshelves designed by Juliana Llussá provide a counterpoint to the traditional library, and wooden panels serve as support for bottles to be kept at the reader's fingertips. The armchair by the Campana brothers and the lamp by Ingo Maurer complement the décor. Leo Capote designed the chair that contrasts with the blue wall and is accompanied by the photography by Araquém Alcântara.
