Living room decoration: Cadé Marino shows how to create the perfect space!

The incredible living room at Casa Up , at CASACOR Rio 2021 , is a success! Designed by UP3 architecture , the room is a typical reinterpretation of the 70s , delimited by the lowest floor and in a circular shape, with a color palette in earthy tones and forest green , which refer to the surrounding nature. All the elements that make up a living room have their degree of importance. The presence of each of them varies according to the resident's needs, but it is clear that some items and tricks make a total difference in the space! In an interview with CASACOR , architect and interior designer Cadé Marino , from UP3 architecture, shared details of the environment designed for CASACOR Rio 2021 and gave smart tips for creating an elegant and cozy living room .

A place to relax and entertain

“We don’t think of Casa Up’s living room as just a living room. We think of it as a place to relax and entertain ,” says Cadé.

Natural light plays an essential role! In addition to highlighting spaces, making them even more lively, their abundance reduces the use of excess energy .

The tip to make the living room with even more natural lighting is to integrate the spaces (such as the living room and kitchen), opt for a palette in light tones and invest in shiny and mirrored surfaces.

The cobogós , which divide the internal and external areas of Casa Up, permeate the light in all corners, and the integration of all spaces in the project enhances circulation.

Furniture distribution

It doesn't matter if the room is large or small, the distribution and position of the furniture in the room makes a total difference !

“When the furniture is positioned in the right place, you already win, because the resident should not have difficulty moving around the environment”, says Cadé Marino.

“A piece of furniture in the right place gives the impression of an organized, comfortable and elegant space ”, he adds.

Armchair: the key piece

For Cadé, the armchair is a key piece in the living room! “It is not always possible in small environments, but I think the armchair is a different way of sitting , of understanding relaxation”, says the architect.
