Playful decoration in 17 rooms at CASACOR 2016

Much more than just children's environments, some professionals have invested in solutions that have transformed various environments into playful spaces. Check out the gallery!

CASACOR Paraná 2016. Lugar de Criança - Viviane Busch. The architect imagined a day in the jungle and used life-size stuffed animals to set the tone. In addition, a tree rescued from the city hall's warehouse occupies the center of the 170 m² space. Carpentry was the main resource used, including the panels that cover almost all the walls. The flooring alternates between carpet tiles and a rubberized covering made from recycled material.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Imagination Room - Paula Costa. This playroom doesn't require a TV or tablet. It has lots of books and a reading space in the cabin designed by By Floor. Even renowned design pieces come with a childlike look, like the Panton chairs. In the Join the Circus wallpaper, by designer Adelina Mehmeti, you can replace the characters' faces with photos of family and friends.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2016. Gardens of Light, by Júnia Carsalade. Composed of huge milky white balls in various sizes, whole or half, the light installation is by designer Volmar Silva. The spheres are made of UV-treated polyethylene and aluminum and have internal LED lights. All this to show how lighting design can go beyond illumination and, in harmony with the environment and architecture, become art.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Sensory Garden - Raphael Costa Bastos. Among the plants, several herbs and spices stimulate the sense of smell, such as chamomile, fennel, lemon balm, rosemary, mint, ginger and others. Some pots are rough, to stimulate the sense of touch.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Sensory Garden - Raphael Costa Bastos. The deck, where the lounge is located, is accessible by a ramp. The ambiance has an oriental influence and includes a small lake, designed by Raphael.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Galeria Leo – Leo Romano. The architect creates a dreamlike atmosphere inspired by the ballet Swan Lake, starting with the construction of a sensorial space capable of touching the audience's soul. Suspended wires inspire movement, as do the illuminated spheres. The space occupies 108m².

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Sebrae Store - Eliton Brandão, Catharina Brandão and Mariannita Brandão. Who didn't frequent traditional haberdashery stores? These spaces with shelves full of products are reinterpreted in an industrial and brutalist style. Facilities on display, the appearance of concrete and semi-finished details are some references. Furthermore, the furniture has a sustainable footprint and reuses wood.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Galeria Leo – Leo Romano. Delicate furniture from the Bailarina line was designed by the professional. With very thin legs, the table seems to barely touch the floor, as do the swings from the same collection.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Train Car - Léo Shehtman. After restoration, the 1945 train car - abandoned for almost 30 years - was transformed into a loft. An internal wooden structure unified the 40m2 space, which received art deco decoration. The style is represented in pieces designed by the architect himself - from the sofa and armchair to the side table and other furniture.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Exit Lounge – Aline Montenegro, Pedro Rossi and Flávia Giangiulio. Images and lighting, tactile elements and sounds draw attention to the importance of perceiving space through the sensations it provokes. Landmarks of local architecture were drawn on the walls and stand out.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Escada das Luzes - Maurício Arruda, Fabio Mota and Lais Delbianco. Going up and down stairs has never been so interesting. The professionals attached mirrors to the sides that reflect the ceiling covered with almost 300 lamps. They light up in different combinations as visitors walk by.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Circulation - Luciana Kreimer. The smallest room in the show has a library feel and pays homage to the city of São Paulo. Hence the palette of white, black and red tones. The furniture was found at the Arnaldo Danemberg Antique Shop.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Jardim Caboclo - Marcelo Faisal. The architect and landscaper's experience in the Amazon and his work with Hugo França, - with his experience on the beach of Trancoso, in Bahia - resulted in a rustic, simple and mixed-race project. Canoes, benches and sculptures from his personal collection were incorporated into the space. The strength of the caboclo is represented in the revolving cycads that dress the garden, delimited by white sand that recalls the sea and the river.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Sissi's House - Brunete Fraccaroli. The dog who was the architect's companion for 16 years is the guest of honor in the space that includes a living room, gourmet space, master suite and closet. All under a 13m2 structure made of glass, metal and wood. Detail: the furniture was reduced to the scale of the animal, and the pieces were produced using 3D printing.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Florida Room – Julye Pinheiro and Ianapaula Oliveira. This modern and technological office is located in a glass box with water curtains. Inside, the colors of the American flag prevail, in a space that allows you to visit Florida using virtual reality.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Galeria Leo – Leo Romano. The architect challenges perception and creates a space suspended in time, with hand-drawn porcelains displayed in an innovative way in a dreamlike scene.
