Due Z's proposal was to change the stereotype of commercial space and design a cozy environment with a homely feel.

At CASACOR São Paulo 2018 , the Due Z Arquitetura office designed the Boulangerie , operated by the Dona Deôla chain. The space is a meeting point for visitors to have a coffee and enjoy the savory and sweet delights offered by the establishment. 
The duo Beatriz Zamperlini and Mariana Zimmermann were inspired by Parisian boulangeries to create a comfortable atmosphere to welcome customers. The idea was to change the stereotype of commercial spaces and design a cozy, homey environment. 
With 209 m², the project features indoor and outdoor areas composed of different styles of tables and chairs, upholstered in vibrant colors, as well as finishes that align design and sustainability. The blue walls feature two works by Minas Gerais artist Juliana Sicoli, as well as pieces by artists Alexandre Virgilio, Bruno Contin and Bruno Cocozza. 
The layout of the tables creates a relaxed environment, ideal for people to chat and make new contacts. The pieces, which vary in materials such as concrete, wood and marble, come in different styles: counter-top style, for a quick meal, individual , joint and built into sofas. All with the idea of integrating the visitors. Highlight the curved red velvet sofa that contrasts with the blue, wood and gold and copper tones. 
In the outdoor area, modern furniture is welcomed by an ecological fireplace, suitable for colder days. The landscaping was designed by Mariana Cunha and includes plant species such as hazelnuts – in a maze shape –, staghorn fern, fig tree -lyre and xanadu. Simone Siss's graffiti completes the space.
