Dedicated to study and introspection, study rooms received innovative reinterpretations at CASACOR stores across Brazil in 2016. These spaces are unique not only because they are welcoming but also because they value the ideal intimate moment for reading, meditating or researching. CASACOR Ceará 2016. Master Bedroom - Beatriz Miranda. Doors and windows received wider and more imposing frames. There was even space to create benches, which became reserved reading areas or a place for the dining table.

CASACOR Santa Catarina 2016. Reading Room - Priscila Koch. The project is based on the tones of quartz pink and serenity blue. They gain expression thanks to the neutral base, such as the burnt cement texture at the bottom of the bookcase. Curtains and rugs designed by the architect come into play, which also features pieces such as the Boloto copper table, the rough wooden log table and the Re-vive armchair.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2016. Being at Home - Lisiane Wendel Corrêa and Simone Bertuzzo. Some furniture items were made with wood from Minas Gerais, such as the office desk designed by the architects. The walls were painted gray with microtexture.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2016. Reading Room - Pedro Félix. There is no denying the Scandinavian influence, from the pastel tones to the minimalist concept. Two walls are occupied by slatted panels, with matte lacquered paint in a cream tone. But the furniture has a Brazilian soul, with pieces by Jáder Almeida, Sérgio Rodrigues, from Estúdio Bola and the hanging drawer by Alva Design.

CASACOR Espírito Santo 2016. Intimate Hall - Carla Freire, Kelly Christ, Jacqueline Barros, Lívia Pschera. Exotic plants add a touch of color and invite nature into this passageway to the bedrooms, which can serve as a living room or home office. Indirect lighting creates dim light and inspires relaxation. In some areas, metallic bronze brightens up the decor in furniture and design objects.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2016. For reading and drinking - Luiz Sentinger. The custom-made deck is made of garapeira and finished with black enamel. It centralizes all the functions of the SPA, including a 50-jet hydromassage, waterfall and chromotherapy, by Axell.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Circulation - Luciana Kreimer. The smallest room in the show has a library feel and pays homage to the city of São Paulo. Hence the palette of white, black and red tones. The furniture was found at the Arnaldo Danemberg Antique Shop.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. José Zanine Caldas Space - Zanini de Zanine. In the first-floor hall, the designer exhibits for the first time the Studio's reissue of pieces from the Z Line, which José Zanine Caldas created between 1949 and 1955. Since then, the furniture has been out of production. The two Kid armchairs in solid wood and upholstered in wine-colored velvet celebrate the relaunch of the line.

CASACOR Ceará 2016. Library - Roberto Pamplona. The desk was designed in a marble niche. The many shelves are filled with books, many covered in white linen and gold brocade fabrics.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2016. For reading and drinking - Luiz Sentinger. In the other corner, the warmth of the wood on the walls in Duratex panels prevails. The modular linen upholstery and the geometric rug make up the space, along with the Miss K table lamp, by Philippe Starck for Floss.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Study Room - Natália Maciel and Rachel Borges. Neutral tones, natural wood and exposed brick are some of the elements that refer to rusticity and give a democratic touch to the 21 m² multipurpose space. The loose furniture provides versatility, and the joinery also follows a light and sober line. The color comes from the paintings of Aurélia Cerulei, Marcelo Solá and Fabiana Queiroga.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Espaço José Zanine Caldas - Zanini de Zanine. Another tribute is on the walls, which display 10 original framed models, handmade by the architect. They were exhibited in 1989 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs at the Louvre, in Paris.

CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2016. Being at Home - Lisiane Wendel Corrêa and Simone Bertuzzo. The brightness and raw tones characteristic of the Scandinavian style enter the scene. The wall behind the sofa is decorated with six 137x140cm suede canvases. The marble floor is partially covered by overlapping kilim rugs.

CASACOR Campinas 2016. Staircase and Reading Room - Daniele Guardini and Adriano Stancati. The staircase is covered in wood and has a glass railing. The spaces are connected to the other rooms by a walkway, also made of wood, that runs down the wall and across the floor as if it were its continuation.

CASACOR Campinas 2016. Women's Refuge - Selena Pelegrini. For the woman who has her office in her own home, the interior designer imagined an environment with neutral tones and pieces by renowned designers and artists.

CASACOR Espírito Santo 2016. Study Space Architect's Bathroom - Gabriela Greppe, Luciane Veiga and Raquel Mello. Surrounded by references and objects related to the sea, the space was designed for an oceanographer with a passion for adventure. At the entrance to the study area, a private mini gallery displays works that honor the theme - and notice the ceiling dyed a deep blue.

CASACOR Espírito Santo 2016. Executive Meeting - Romina Passos. The idea is to serve an executive who travels a lot for work and needs a place inside the hotel for meetings and business activities. Occupying an area of 20 m², the office offers the comfort of armchairs in an informal reading space. The metallic trend is well represented, in a discreet way, in the leather Formica panel, in brushed bronze Formica details and in the metallic lacquer that make up the carpentry. On the ceiling, the Bat pendants are by Tom Dixon.

CASACOR Mato Grosso do Sul 2016. Poet's Office – Fábio Menoncin. The wood of the furniture and the crocodile texture on one of the walls bring visual references to the region's nature. But the star of the space is the piano, which was important in the composition of the Mato Grosso do Sul anthem, which had among its authors the poet Otávio Gonçalves Gomes, who is honored in the space. The desk, the manuscripts and the old typewriter are his. The golden age of his career was from the 1950s to the 1970s, so these decades inspired the selection of furniture presented.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Intimate Room - Tanara Machado and Andrea Nomura (Quadratti Arquitetura e Interior). From floor to ceiling, the wood creates a light and comfortable box with spaces for resting and reading. There is little interference, with few points of light for an intimate atmosphere that highlights paintings by artists such as Geórgia Kyriakakis and Darlan Rosa. The layout is loose and flexible, featuring pieces such as the Repos and Ottomam armchair by Swiss designer Antonio Citterio.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Collector’s Living – Alain Moszkowicz and Bruna Sá. Designed for the owner of a stud farm who loves to mine objects, the space has neutral tones, diffused lighting and showcases that highlight the private collection. Furniture with metallic finishes is the main choice and complements the texture of the carpet and the leather upholstered chair.

CASACOR Campinas 2016. Family Room - Aldomar Caprini. The layout highlights the coziness and encourages group activities, such as watching TV and reading books and magazines. The walls are interspersed with fabric and Gail's brickwork. The highlight is the pouf, which can be used as a seat or a coffee table.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Office and Reading Room - Mário Santos. The Fuselagem table was inspired by the wings of an airplane, designed by Mário, who also created the bookcase with horizontal louvers and sliding boxes. The piece of furniture divides spaces and can be accessed from both sides. The design was made by Berneck Madeiras, which was also responsible for the wooden lining of the walls.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Intimate Living – Carmem Lúcia Lins and Silvana Chaves. The wood on the floor and the clean texture of the masonry create a simple atmosphere that puts coexistence in the foreground. For this reason, the loose furniture was arranged in a circle, with the Benjamin armchair by Sérgio Rodrigues in the center.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Office and Reading Room - Mário Santos. The inspiration came from the wings of Panair, a defunct airline whose main shareholder was the owner of the mansion. Almond-colored wood tones coexist with light grays and polished copper metallics in details. The lighting, designed by the architect with Dimlux lamps, is cozy, below the eyes. In the foreground, a Pelicano armchair by Jorge Elmor.
