Polycarbonate roof allows natural lighting in garage

The polycarbonate covering protects and does not affect the light.

Architect Joseir Barbosa found the ideal solution to cover the house's garage without changing the façade: a translucent polycarbonate roof that maintains good lighting in the area. Made by NBA Portões Automáticos metalworking company, the structure is formed by three curves, which have areas open for air intake. Even so, the environment was a little warm, which did not displease the resident — she created a kind of greenhouse there for her plants.

Model did not change the structure of the house

The roof was installed with screws and welding on a metal structure, supported by the walls and the building. The polycarbonate model used is called alveolar (sold by companies such as Day Brasil and Replaex), which is lighter than the compact sheet.
