CASACOR SP: A space for reflection on what is essential

More than just an environment, Duda Porto debuts at CASACOR São Paulo with an installation that focuses on drawing people’s attention to enjoying the present moment, the instant, memories, friends and family. “It’s time to get closer to “We want to be with those we love and exchange real experiences. Let’s (re)conquer nature, create a refuge and build memories for life. Our memories and conscience have shelter wherever and whenever we want”, explains the professional. To this end, Duda created the Abrigo de Memórias , a plateau with decks made of reclaimed demolition wood and a garden area cultivated in modular panels, by Studio Cidade Jardim, with a drip irrigation system, where the professional built four cabins. These small The buildings are perfect triangles measuring 3 x 3 x 3 m and have an Isocip system structure (styrofoam board between OSB panels), externally coated with Viroc (cement board with wood aggregate) and internally with cumaru. Each cabin represents a moment in life: Dream, Childhood, Friends and Family, Reflection. “The Memory Shelter project makes us think about our relationship with time, nature and how we design spaces so that each moment is unforgettable”, he explains. At Cabana Sonho , the goal is to rescue what we desire, making us reflect on our dreams until they come true (or not). Two acrylic plaques bear the phrases: 'Cultivate dreams; Share memories; Make wishes come true' , 'Build your refuge', 'Your home is the shelter of your memories'. In the Childhood Cabin, the childlike character that exists in each one is stimulated with questions typical of children. At the Friends and Family Cabin there is an interactive activity where you can write a message on seed paper for someone special and hang it on the 'memory tree' . You can also take some of the seeds home. After the exhibition ends , all the messages will be planted in an area of São Paulo. The last cabin, Reflection , has a headset where the person can listen to reflections, proposing a moment of disconnection with the effervescent city ahead, observing one of the most exuberant skylines of the capital.
