A majestic flamboyant tree catches your eye as soon as you enter the Renault Tree House : the trunk crosses the ceiling height of the living room and is the star of the 280 m² space designed by Carolina Mauro, Daniela Frugiuele and Filipe Troncon, professionals from Suite Arquitetos. who celebrate ten years of the office in this edition of CASACOR São Paulo 2018 . Using Brazilian references throughout the project, the trio opted for furniture designed by big names in national design, such as Oscar Niemeyer and Jorge Zalszupin. The color palette is also inspired by native flora: “The hues of the fruits, like the nuances of the brown, the color of cocoa, the reddish color of cashew and the bright yellow of mango, served as a mood of inspiration for the development of the production of the entire project”, says Daniela The geometry of the house is revealed by a wooden volume that supports the roof plane and results in the social area fully integrated into the garden. The marking of these blocks is due to the use of different finishes, such as the European oak that houses the bedroom and the textured painting that marks the bookshelf in the social area.
In the kitchen, the soapstone countertop incorporates the sink, cooktop and oven in a unit designed by Suite's own professionals. In the bedroom, the muxarabi panel made of American oak appears to dissolve as the small squares are removed. revealing the open area outside the space. The bedside table made of the same wood is attached to the wall and the headboard is a large linen-covered cushion.
“We did something simple and at the same time conceptual in the bathroom – garden, trees, rough stone and the absence of a ceiling in the shower make our idea of an open-air bathroom a reality”, concludes Troncon.
