Can a project be elegant and simple at the same time? Rosa May proves that it can, designing the
Library Room at
CASACOR São Paulo 2018. The
50 m² space is based on neutral tones, in contrast with hand-selected pieces. The colors range from white to beige, punctuated by the black of the bookshelf and vinyl flooring and the printed wood on the furniture. The project is also marked by
natural fiber and raw linen fabrics. The mix of pieces chosen for the room promotes an eclectic atmosphere:
the Sputnik chandelier in darkened bronze from the Italian 1970s, drawings by Cícero Dias, the Joaquin Tenreiro armchair and Murano plate lampshades, also from the 1970s, make the space a A welcoming place full of references from the professional. The cushions are made from fabric from this same period. The Yin Yang coffee table is a highlight. The organic set helps with circulation and adds a special charm to the space. Handmade was a favorite in many spaces, and it was no different in Rosa May's. The rug in the library area was made of fiberglass. natural and hand-made.
