“My Cabin, My World”, this was the affectionate nickname given by architects Fabiana Silveira and Patricia de Palma, from SP Estúdio, to their space at CASACOR São Paulo 2017. The duo debuted at the show with their unusual Baby Room Decor . “Unconventional, the environment has everything a child needs to enjoy the different stages of childhood,” summarizes Fabiana. In addition to furniture and objects capable of stimulating activities relevant to different age groups, the space reveals in each of the chosen items a single concept: affective design. The custom-made cabin furniture in one corner of the room houses a small house and a hanging garden formed by Adam's ribs arranged in concrete pots that refer to the woven fabric. The furniture integrates two beds. One of them, perfect for to encourage play, it has doors and a little place to hang books. The other, open, can be used by an adult – if necessary – and by the child when he or she grows up. The rest of the room has a crib, changing table, nursing chair and coat rack. .

Measuring 25 m2 , the space reflects the duo's interpretation of what is essential, valuing the work of small Brazilian artists and artisans. The project's protagonists are the hanging crib made with macramé, a technique of weaving threads to form geometric intersections and fringes. , and the foliage panel, painted by Adriana Mantô, which surrounds the crib and functions as a protective amulet for the little inhabitant. Printed with a posca pen, it replaces the playful atmosphere of the mobiles, the graphic represents seven protective plants (rosemary , rue, can't-me-with-me, snake plant, guinea, basil and pepper).

Also highlighting the craftsmanship made in Brazil , the Veleiro rope armchair offers comfort for breastfeeding. The coat rack with a metal structure and anchored to the ceiling was designed by Fabiana and Patricia. On the white brick wall, the wood and metal furniture It serves as a changing table. It has a blue stripe, painted on the lining, which gives a touch of style to the décor. Designed by Nara Ota, there is also a charming wall light in the corner of one of the beds and the delicate Prego girls, from the Fábula collection. To create the floor, the architects chose hexagonal hydraulic tiles – also produced individually – combined with vinyl panels. Industrial references appear in the ceiling covered in burnt cement and with peripheral lighting.
