In an exhibition where “seeing” is so important, perhaps one of the most essential spaces is the Glasses Gallery at CASACOR São Paulo 2018 , designed by architects Ana Paula Gaspar and Fernanda Panetta, from Estúdio Gaetta. Measuring 65 m², it is a place where visitors can appreciate the glasses by Gus Eyewear, designed by Gustavo Gonçalves, as true works of art.

Breaking with the classic aesthetic, the furniture and color palette are contemporary. Grayish tones and custom fabrics by Carbono Design serve as the backdrop for armchairs upholstered with two-tone stitches – a recycled PET and cotton fabric – and a sofa with 100% cotton fabric and stitching. An Iranian Reloaded rug and a Jorge tea trolley are highlights.

The space consists of a classically styled waiting room, but with a welcoming atmosphere, like that of a home. There, works that refer to observation drawings fill the walls for those waiting to admire. They are: Diary , by Chinese artist Shu Lin; When the plates come together , Sighting , Dream of a summer afternoon and From the fracture series , all by Cuban artist J. Pavel Herrera; and, finally, Sabiá-laranjeira , Sangue de Boi , Gavião-caboclo and Bem-te-vi , by Brazilian Bruno Brito.

The eyeglass displays received special attention, especially with regard to lighting and shelf positioning. Varying heights and backlighting help to enhance the entire geometry of the glasses. Finally, in the area designated for serving visitors, tables with granite tops and chairs with gray canvas backs complete the space.
