A Garden of Yesteryear - Ana Trevisan. Between an existing tree and the historic building, both listed as historical heritage sites, there was an area of 350m². The space was filled with fruit and ornamental species, transforming it into a contemplative garden. The medium-sized vegetation allows visitors to observe all the beauty of the surroundings. Another option was the draining floor, made from leftover cement and stones. The sculpture by artist Rô Rita in the dark-toned pool completes the scene.

Entrance Hall - Adriana Tiezzi. The first impression is what remains - and 9.76m² was enough to create a memorable environment, with the air of large mansions from the construction period. Noble materials are present, such as the walls that feature marble mosaics, shiny wood veneers and boiseries applications. The lining received PVC plates that simulate plaster detailing.

Hostel Room - Estela Cislaghi. Inspired by globalized communication and a love of travel, this space is designed to be enjoyed by the family, to host a guest and even to generate extra income. One of the attractions is that it includes, in just 20m², a pantry, closet, bed and multipurpose counter. The generous sofa bed makes everything more comfortable, not to mention the lighting and air conditioning controlled by your cell phone. A modern touch is provided by the Twing pendant light, by industrial designer Hans Caruga. Highlights include works by artist Cassia Acosta and the exclusive panel by graphic designer Júlia Back.

Suite Lovers - Laura Gransotto. Rose Quartz and Serenity Blue, chosen by Pantone as the colors of the year, are trends present in the project and enhance the mix of textures. To balance it out, the architect painted a neutral tone known as greige and accented the space with dark wood. Some furniture is enhanced by bronze mirrors, which also visually expand the 25m² space.

Lunch Room - Thais Giusti. The space was imprinted with a remarkable history, which the architect sought to enhance. On the walls, hand-painted Spanish tiles from the 1950s, custom-made for the house. On the ceiling, wooden beams and turned details on the sides. The interventions were minimal and Thais designed the furniture, finished in metallic brown lacquer.

Reading Room - Priscila Koch. The project is based on the tones of quartz pink and serenity blue. They gain expression thanks to the neutral base, such as the burnt cement texture at the bottom of the bookcase. Curtains and rugs designed by the architect come into play, which also features pieces such as the Boloto copper table, the rough wooden log table and the Re-vive armchair.

Stanza Della Donna - Francine Faraco. Inspired by Florence, the 11m² women's room combines classic details and technology. The articulated bed with its own lighting is the central point, on a uneven carpet and with a canopy suspended by cables. It leads the eye to the ceiling, covered in MDF boards with metallic paint and classic designs. On one side of the bed, the Stena Armchair, by Brazilian designer Ronald Sasson, features rounded lines and metallized feet.

Coolking - Jairo Lopes and Pedro Tessarollo. Shades of black and gray give a masculine look and are a bold decision. After all, the 16m² space could seem smaller. But this doesn't happen thanks to the straight line joinery, which solves every centimeter, and the smooth concrete walls. Another secret is the light design, which shifts attention to details such as the uneven ceiling.

Host's Kitchen - Mariana Pesca. From the largest world fair in the sector, Eurocucina 2016, came the idea of developing the kitchen as a block of stone. The functional part is coated with Neolith, a compound of selected natural raw materials. Another trend is the meeting of veins in the natural wood veneer, forming geometric designs in the modulations. And the garden doesn't require work, as it is self-irrigating.

VEKA Patio - Juliana Castro, Clarice Wolowski, Aline Buss and Adriano Miranda. The floor uses fragments of basalt stones and is reminiscent of Italian squares. Around the 70m² space, there is a lot of vegetation with a soft texture and irregular volume, with camellias, gardenias and pacovás. The vertical garden has a detail: it uses boards that reuse tetrapak packaging. The black vases host light gray olive trees. The braiding on the furniture adds to the coziness.

Pub Confraria do Chopp Honesto - Ricardo Fonseca, Mário Pinheiro, Beto Gebara, Luiz Fernando Zanoni, André Lima and businessman Wagner Barreiro. With two wings made up of four containers and the CCH arena between them, the 216m² project takes big cities as a reference. Walls were covered in stickers with irreverent phrases, while others were painted by graffiti artists. The bookshelf explores volume, but its weight is softened with the use of plants, which bring freshness.

Historian's Balcony - Rose Campos and Marco Antônio Medeiros. One side of the house houses this comfortable space, measuring 45 m². Some walls are finished in bamboo with automotive paint, while the floor is covered in porcelain and marble in a beige tone, with a natural look that connects to the outside. Since this is a space full of history, there is no shortage of pieces that bring comfort, such as lanterns and candles. Note the ceiling fans: they are custom-made, made of natural fiber.

Dining Room - Anna Maya and Anderson Schussler. The original ceiling, floor and windows were kept, but the colonial architecture of the house is enhanced by modern elements. The twisted iron chandelier with several domes is a good example, as is the bookcase designed to house Czech crystals that the architect inherited from her grandmother. Another highlight is the painting by Juliano Aguiar, inspired by the work Girl with a Pearl Earring by the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer.

Jota Jota Lounge - Carolina Mocelin and Patricia Moschen. Pipes, hydraulic connections, electrical wires and coils of wire are displayed in different ways in a project that uses lighting as its main resource. The space connects the container's interior to the exterior through the installation of Urbanidade pipes, one of which has been illuminated and carries the connection energy. Inside, the Dubai crystal lamp by Chandelie stands out.

TVA2 room - Alexandre Müller and Marcelo Wolschick. The earthy and orange tones of the solid bricks and the presence of wood grains in the basement ceiling, which are in the original construction, dictated the color palette. The reduced size, of 12.37m², led to the proposal of an intimate room for a couple to relax. The TV panel was enhanced by Paraná Nuvolato Marble, while the other walls have a more destroyed feel. The ceiling comes with an installation of irregular panels illuminated with LED strips.

Renault Cabin - Marchetti Bonetti, Tais Adriana Marchetti Bonetti and Giovani Bonetti. Created to showcase the Duster Oroch model, the project proposes a compact, complete and nomadic dwelling that reflects the adventurous and creative spirit of the car's owner. The box built with the Wood Frame system was covered on the outside with Hunter Douglas miniwave aluminum sheets. The interior was made of reforested Ellioti Pine wood, in a shade of carbonized gray. Highlights include the bamboo furniture with a rubberized finish, and the armchair covered in recycled truck tarpaulin. It is accompanied by the Inflamável table, by Maurício Arruda, which uses pieces found in the Renault workshop.

Wine & Prose - Cris Passing and Giovane Marangoni. The charm lies in what remains of the house's original structure, mainly the stones, the lining and the flooring. Coincidence or not, all materials have to do with an environment related to wine. The space is organized linearly, including a tasting lounge, benches with tables to accommodate a larger number of people and, finally, a large wine cellar.

Lavabos Vinho & Prosa - Cris Passing and Giovane Marangoni. It all started with the custom-made carpentry, which takes advantage of every inch of the 7.3m² space. The tones are sophisticated and the finishes are the same, such as croco leather. Bronze stones and metals are trends. To finish, walls dyed in a shade of red named after wine, Merlot.

Living Bar - Tufi Mousse. You know the chat rooms in small hotels and residences from the 1960s and 1970s? They are the key to getting into the atmosphere of this space, which starts with the slender sofa. On the sides, two cabinets with bar and china cabinet functions. The granite walls were preserved and the rest were covered with wallpaper with technology that allows them to breathe.

Restô Bar - Karoline Bernardo and Sidnei Machado. The house's outdoor area had great potential, and the duo thought: why not create a restaurant? The main materials are wood and ceramic coverings, which reveal the care taken in adopting a stone similar to that of the old building. The dialogue between the interior and exterior, integrating people even more, is created using generous frames with Veka PVC profile systems.

Mels Brushes Functional House - Marisa Lebarbenchon and Artur Rabello. French perfumeries inspired walls covered in grayish blue velvet, contrasting with the Oxiden floor. Illuminated niches were produced with high-gloss sheet. Another highlight is the chandelier with rock stones and crystals, reflected by the mirrors on the ceiling and back wall, which reinforces the feeling of spaciousness.

Ticket Office and Entrance Lounge - Juliana Jagelski Daniel. The metal portico and wooden lattices are inspired by a bird's nest. The structure connects the ticket office, housed in a container, and the lounge built with EPS (Expanded Polystyrene Panels) walls, which eliminates the need for bricks and other materials. The layout is minimalist, with exclusive pieces by architect and designer Richard Gorh.

Lawyer's Home Office (Todeschini Space) - Edilene Melo. The lines of French design guide the project, highlighted by the tones of the Malbec veneer and the special Todeschini paint. With only 13.18m², the secret was to optimize the area with the help of modular furniture. The classic design of contemporary furniture is presented in the Charles Eames chair.

Renner Gallery - Beto Gebara and Marila Filártiga. In this art gallery, the geometric walls draw attention to the canvases. The contrast between the citrus tone of yellow and the concrete effect works together with the lighting, which establishes focal points. Avex Lounge Gallery - Rico Mendonça. The flight of Icarus and the Minotaur's labyrinth from Greek mythology are reminiscent of the search for freedom. This is the concept behind this 35m² space, consisting of a hallway, living room and functional bathroom. All connected by a rug that gives the sensation of walking on clouds. The large eye painting by Arteria Estúdio is reminiscent of the art of designer Fornasetti. Another wall was reserved for the sculptural wing by artist Rafael Sartori.

Side Garden - Geórgia Botelho and Rodrigo Vieira. Flowers, ironwork and Vietnamese sandblasted sandstone vases punctuate the space. The sophisticated simplicity of the project awakens the gardener's inner self. The garden's production was thought out in detail, including the fertilization that uses organic matter from compost.

Living Room - Christina Lago and Gabriel Hering. Preserved flooring and ceilings contrast with contemporary references, whether in the color palette, the bookcase that gains the lightness of glass or in pieces such as the Sky Garden pendant by designer Marcel Wanders. To preserve the original painting on the walls, panels conduct the electrical wiring. The artwork is by Rodrigo de Haro from Santa Catarina.

Oswaldo Cabral Poem Room - Juliana Pippi. The space used to be a library, and the project brings a bit of that atmosphere to the present day. The Art Deco style is insinuated in geometric details, but with a contemporary look. The beautiful original design of the ceiling was maintained, as was the hardwood floor. The walls were renovated with panels lined in green velvet.

Toillet - Elaine Manager and Luiza Porto. The challenge was to redesign the space without interfering with the history of the building, to be compatible with the use of people with special needs. The duo started by cutting out elements belonging to the original construction, harmonized with Art Deco geometric references. The result appears, for example, in the design of the mirrors and the reinvented marquetry on the floor, designed in three porcelain tile finishes.

Corporate Space - Maynara Mariano and Natália Arruda. Wooden floors, neutral and sober tones, and straight lines lend an intentional simplicity to highlight the presented project. Detail: developed in a container, the space can be transported, reused and implemented in different locations, helping companies to showcase their products.

In Spanish neocolonial style, the former residence of historian and physician Oswaldo Cabral , in the center of Florianópolis, welcomes the 20th CASACOR Santa Catarina in grand style. The property, built between the 1940s and 1950s, is given a new look in each of the 33 rooms , which reveal in their details the care that a listed heritage site deserves. Twisted columns, spiral-shaped railings, multi-level ceilings with star designs, 2 m high doors, solid wood floors and whimsical glass panels, which provide the necessary light for the house, were some of the original inspirations for the professionals to create their projects. All styles meet Nomadic culture and more sustainable construction processes are experienced at CASACOR Santa Catarina , which features some environments in shipping containers. On the other hand, the classic style is present at the party, which celebrates Brazilian living, updated with copper and gold pieces, noble coverings that imitate marble, boiseries on the walls and luxurious mirrors. Geometric design also reveals its strength in the modern and rigorous simplicity of Art Deco. In this journey through different eras and styles, there is room for the trend of quartz pink and serenity blue, two colors that Pantone highlighted this year. They combine with the vintage spirit of rounded upholstery and other irresistible pieces that are in fashion. There is no shortage of charm in this CASACOR , as you can see in the photos.
