CASACOR RS: architecture reinterprets the harmony of nature at Casa Gaia

Organic shapes, fluid lighting, earthy tones, overlapping textures and other elements are part of nature. At Casa Gaia , Luiz Sentinger observes and places these references in a new context, highlighting the harmony between them through the lens of architecture. The result is unveiled in this 230 m² environment, which is one of the highlights of CASACOR Rio Grande do Sul 2019. The proposal was to create a home for a couple without children, which could be anywhere in the world. The tones of the wood-like MDF panels create a unique style and visual integration between the living room and the gourmet space, just behind the TV wall. It is worth highlighting the feeling of spaciousness created by the high ceiling and the effect of the worn surfaces above. . Above the sofa, two acrylics on canvas by Gelson Radaelli. The kitchen follows the same aesthetic and features graphite-toned cabinetry, which stands out from the ceramic flooring. Its designs are an affective influence that adds a touch of color without straying from the project's introspective color palette. A trend that is present in the space. It is the niche kitchen, with the support of the island with seating for guests. The project also includes a guest bathroom and a comfortable suite. The same ceramic flooring, with a natural wood effect, ensures continuity between the spaces. In the bedroom, the photograph is by Lu Brito, entitled Geometric. In the bathroom with a bathtub, the walls are covered in tiles reminiscent of those used in European subways. On the floor, the two-tone design is confirmed by the three-dimensional cube pattern. The circulation is fluid, with only the metalwork partition. and ribbed glass to protect the wet area. From the walls to the ceiling, the wooden box warms and welcomes visitors. The garden's intuitive landscaping was developed by designers Katiane Pinheiro and Maiara Ferrari. It even includes a lake, designed to harmonize with the house. In Greek mythology, the goddess Gaia is the personification of planet Earth. “I tried to rescue the natural harmony present outside and bring it inside the house.
