CASACOR PE: Place to store collections and also gather friends

The setting is tropical, but that doesn't mean you have to give up technology. In the Renault Living Garage designed by Diogo Viana for CASACOR Pernambuco , which runs until November 6, the challenge was to combine nature and modernity. With 30 m² and a view of the gardens of the 19th century mansion where the exhibition takes place, the space goes beyond the common role of a garage and becomes a cozy living environment, following Renault's proposal for the 2016 editions of CASACOR. The project is in line with the automaker's objectives French in innovating to improve people's lives.

“It’s a place with a darker atmosphere, designed for people who like to relax in the company of good friends and also collect objects,” explains the architect. That’s why a large wooden bookcase from Bartzen Nova Casa was custom-made for the space and highlights the collection of bottles and pieces found, through built-in LED lighting from Allumé.

To highlight the green spots on the shelf and the Renault Duster Oroch pickup truck, the official car of the show, the floor covering is neutral and has a cement texture. On the ceiling, a cut-out sheet defines the car's display area and houses spotlights. that enhance automotive paintwork.

Tropicality is a strong feature of the flamingo-printed wallpaper, as well as the use of wood in the furniture. The same print is even used on the fabric of the loveseat, named Dora, by designer Jader Almeida. Fitted into the bookcase, the Teca sideboard with a carbon steel and wood structure, also designed by Almeida, it gives a gourmet feel to the space and suggests the ideal atmosphere for relaxed meetings with friends.

The finishing touch is provided by decorative objects, such as the surfboard attached to the bookshelf, dating from the 1970s. In the vegetation, ferns and the staghorn and lemon snake plant species ensure the maintenance of the tropical and intimate atmosphere of the environment. .
