Part of the gastronomic program of
CASACOR Minas Gerais 2019,
Armazém Origens values functionality and celebrates several artisanal producers in the state, allowing their products to be sold and tasted during the show, which ends next Sunday, October 13th. The space serves the functions of a boutique and gallery, a project designed by architect
Cynthia Silvia . She also curated the producers and ingredients, seeking out local and regional producers who are aware of sustainability. In addition, the products stand out not only for their history, origin and flavor they carry, but also because they aesthetically unite with the space, as decorations for the composition. Thus, the choice is also related to labels, containers, bottles, utensils and typography.
The internal curves are a reference to the old cellars that were used to cure cachaça. It reinvents its concept by proposing a clear wash for everything: from the floor, handcrafted using natural stones, to the walls, in rustic plaster. The furniture, designed by Cynthia, has freijó as an abundant material. The lighting, almost all recessed, has charming pendants above the counter. It has a display case with several very Minas Gerais products, such as natural stones, handcrafted pieces and cheeses, organized on wooden supports and a large sales counter.
More than 600 items have already been sold, especially artisanal cheeses and original specialty coffees from Serra da Mantiqueira, which are popular with visitors. An exclusive product of the Armazém is the limited edition TIARA cachaça, with a special line label and visual identity that has been aged in oak barrels for 4 years. Its flavor with floral notes of lavender, hazelnut, fruits, raisins and a fine touch of wild honey promises to surprise.
