The workplace can be very stressful. With this in mind, architect Pedro Lázaro created the
ArcelorMittal Living Space for
CASACOR Minas Gerais 2017 , a place that companies call a “decompression room”. The goal of this project is to promote coexistence and relaxation among employees.
The
Decompression Room is made up of two spaces joined by a central void: on the right, a TV, library and pantry provide indoor leisure and, on the outside, the chaises offer rest with a view of the buildings, on the left, a small gym. and a ping pong table are available for employees who want a break from work while also doing some physical activity.
Pedro Lázaro took care to create a humanized and inviting space, even within the company. The focus on quality of life was linked to ArcelorMittal's sustainable development proposal, and all steel applications and furniture selection were made based on the circular economy. The
Decompression Room is a place to breathe and enjoy the little moments.
