Patativa, Alencar, Queiroz and Friends Reading Room - Luciana Brasileiro and Marcílio Sousa. The iron bookshelf is the highlight of the project, which is based on burnt cement on the floor and the ceiling in natural wood, with a minimalist feel. The lighting was worked in a yellow tone, making the result even warmer.

Fortaleza Urbana Lounge - Carlos Zaranza, Taline Rabelo and Simon Ráfaga. The living space is reminiscent of 21st century Fortaleza, where modernity meets regionality. Deck da Luz - Consuêlo Nóbrega and Marcella Torres de Melo. Ceará is known for its green seas - and this color is the basis of the project's color palette, combined with the constant blue of the sky. The free-standing furniture was designed by Marcelo Rosenbaum and Ruy Ohtake.

Perla Balcony - Susana Clark Fiúza. The flooring features the venato pearl extracted from the interior of Ceará. The material interacts with the exposed concrete on the ceiling and creates a contemporary atmosphere, which breaks the expectation of rusticity in outdoor areas. Pieces designed by Marcelo Ligieri and Jader Almeida coexist with Ceará craftsmanship.

Aldemir Martins Room - Ticket Office - Eduardo Fontelles. The internationally renowned artist from Ceará has his works displayed in the space, bringing joy to the colors and themes. To highlight the art, the artist chose neutral and cozy colors, such as gray and wood tones. The choice of designer pieces reinforces the visual appeal, in the furniture and in the pendants in the center.

TV Room with Games - André Pires, Marcelo Antero and Alexandre Macêdo - Vila Morena. The pleasure of socializing commands and inspires the use of natural textures, such as stone walls, linen-look wallpaper and wood-look vinyl on the floor. Araucaria green is another choice, highlighting the geometry of the meeting between ceiling and walls.

Gourmet Space "Mercado Cultural dos Pinhões” - Lidyanne Araújo. The construction elements are visible, such as concrete blocks and metal columns. The inspiration is industrial, but the furniture follows the contemporary line. On the wall covered with wooden rulers, the panel depicts personalities from Ceará, such as the writers Rachel de Queiroz and Patativa do Assaré.

Collector's Dining Room - Rodrigo Porto. 21st century luxury values minimalism and the essential. Hence the simplicity of the exposed concrete ceiling and the restrained color palette of green and pink. Low-intensity lighting focuses on areas of interest - a good example is the chandelier by Brazilian designer Ana Neute, above Jader Almeida's dining table.

Chancellor Airton Queiroz Square - Rebeca Alencar, Larissa Recamonte, Maria Christina Bessa, Amanda Lima, Elizabeth Santiago and Angelica Castro. The space pays homage to a man ahead of his time and suggests a vision of the future. Structures divide spaces into sectors and arouse the curiosity of visitors. References to the landscape of the university to which the chancellor was associated were brought in, such as the precast flooring and plant species.

Loft for the Young Adventurer - Diego Studart. Using two containers integrated into the outdoor area, a 52m2 loft was created for a young man who lives in the city but is passionate about the sea and sports. In the open spaces, some visual resources define the spaces, such as the 3D covering at the entrance. A coconut tree and even beach sand come into play to create a beachy atmosphere.

They are connected with cobogós and tiles with a Brazilian soul, in a space that prioritizes simplicity. Another subtlety: the colors remind us of the sand of the desert or the backlands. Highlights include the ombré effect on the walls and the solid pequiá wood on the counter.

Secret Garden - Ramiro Mendes. Secrets are hidden in the more than 350 drawers that occupy one of the walls. The dark tones and measured lighting bring intimacy, while the different elements awaken visitors' sensations and curiosity, such as dry and green plants, insects and books.

The objects were displayed on different geometric bases, transmitting movement to the Sebrae concept store. It promotes the Brasil Original project, which travels around the country to develop the production chain and introduce artisans to the market.

Bar Austin, Ceará - João Paulo Kikumoto, Geórgia Vieira and João Dias. Brazilian architecture from the 1970s meets the geometric and vertical layout of Texas, a US state that shares some similarities with Ceará, such as its heat and desert. The American flag is discreetly cited in the blue of the denim-covered bar and in the burgundy stripe that runs from the wall to the ceiling.

Geek Suite - Geórgia Vieira and João Dias. The noir ambiance comes from classic 1950s movies and games, exploring intense shadows, transparencies and the contrast between light and dark. The white epoxy floor and acrylic and metal details give it a high-tech feel. The bed is suspended, freeing up space for the rock band. Although the premise is modernity, the turquoise furniture is reminiscent of the Ceará coast.

Cocó Playground - Lucimary Holanda and Danielle Araripe. The challenge of creating a children's environment in a shipping container was overcome by opening the space to the outside area. The cobogó wall ensures integration. Cocó Park inspired a playful and colorful space, with green plants and animals. In the center, the wooden tree has a small table at the base and becomes a lamp in the canopy.

#SertãoConnect Square - Andrea Queiroz and Dido Neto. This tribute to the backlands reveals a contemporary, connected Ceará, an exporter of art and design. The space is organized into islands of connectivity and takes advantage of technological and media resources. The playful side is present, with the sculpture by visual artist Narcélio Grud.

Terrace Discover Ceará - Campelo Costa, Romeu Duarte and Joaquim Cartaxo. Drawings and texts reveal a contemporary, vibrant Ceará, focused on the present and the future. Jardim dos Ventos - Thiago Borges. Natural stone and granite are the coverings, in addition to steel for the retaining walls, for a contemporary look. Symmetrical, the layout organizes exotic species - some of them large, such as palm trees, 10m tall date palms and 25-year-old elephant's feet. The composition also includes infinity-edge water mirrors, covered in black natural stone.

Garden of Memories - Sergei de Castro and Valeria Maldonado. Plants grown in the days of houses with gardens and backyards are incorporated into the space. Poppy, dracaena, acacia and imperial palm bring back fond memories and make up the environment, which has a structure that recalls the original concept of the Ceará Handicraft Center (Ceart).

Security Room - Eduardo Fontelles. The images from the cameras spread throughout the exhibition are centralized here. The project shows some current resources that can be incorporated into homes or commercial spaces, such as automation. The environment is housed in a glass box, which allows a view of the outside area.

Real Estate Space - Susana Clark FiÚza. Models of projects by local construction companies were displayed in the space, which conveys modernity right from the façade. It was covered with cut-out ACM panels, a type of aluminum composite. The glass openings ensure lightness and invite visitors to enter.

Artist Gallery - The Essence of Roses - Aline Gurgel. On the ceiling, the eye finds the work of artist Filipe Benevides, in homage to the Roses of Saint Benedict. On the walls, the gradient of blues is a peaceful backdrop for the art of Pedro Filho.

Cozinha dos Sabores - Fabiane Tavares. As cozy as a living room: that's the idea behind this space, which features natural stone on the walls and wooden flooring. Countertops were made with Gabbana stone and the cabinets are finished in lacquer. To add an extra classic touch, gold pendants and velvet stools were used.

Bungalow in the Mountains - Marçal Barros. The idea is to build a summer house in the mountains, with a construction system based on light steel profiles. Once completed, the bungalow now has a living room, dining room, integrated kitchen and a suite with a closet and bathroom. The light and relaxed decor is highlighted by the tree trunk chair and the art collection.

Miyasaki Twins Suite - Ticiana Sanford. Inspired by Japan, the project features straight-line furniture. Almost all of the pieces were designed to grow with the children, such as cribs with crochet details that become beds and changing tables that become desks. Also note the aesthetic appeal of the pipes that interfere with the ceiling and walls.

Home Office XXI - Rosalinda Pinheiro. In this concrete box, the zinc table is transformed into a planter. Another material that evokes the industrial style, metalol, structures the shelves, finished with colorless varnish. On the floor, the highlight is the liquid porcelain. Each detail brings a graphic appeal, including the triangular cutout on the wall, next to the composition of paintings by the artist Luis Fernando Dantas.

In the 19th edition of CASACOR Ceará , the professionals had a challenge: to discover Ceará. To do so, they exercised other perspectives and representations of the state, reflecting the development, innovation and modernity achieved in recent years. At the same time, there is a reunion with the roots and essence - after all, we cannot forget that the focus on the essential is the national theme of CASACOR in 2017.

The chosen property is conducive to this dialogue of references, with large open areas, a garden, social areas and a swimming pool. There are over 2,400 m² of built area and 5,300 m² of open area. The professionals used the maximum potential of the spaces, who developed the contrast between regionalism and modernity. Works by local artists and artisans coexist with contemporary furniture and trends, such as the ombré effect in the painting of the walls, shades of green and blue, metallics and the industrial style.

Minimalism is a language that is gaining ground, translated into clean concrete walls and ceilings or the occasional use of wood. Another reference, derived from the desire for the essential, is the oriental style - it emerges in the purity of forms and the simplicity of materials.

By breaking the expectation of rusticity and pointing out other possibilities, CASACOR Ceará broadens horizons without failing to value what is most authentic, such as the tones of the sea, the aridity of the backlands and the always open sky throughout Ceará.
