Nomad House - Ramiro Mendes. Inspired by the Beat Generation, a group of North American writers and poets from the 1950s and 1960s with a nomadic lifestyle, and the work On The Road, by Jack Kerouac, the house is the place where concerns can be calmed. It was designed for lovers of coffee, literature, jazz, meditation and those eager to travel the world, to rest and prepare for the next adventure. In the environment, a beautiful garden, a room for entertaining friends with a balcony and a soaking tub, as well as a practical and well-equipped kitchen with a large natural wood table and modern products. The suite has a study bench, comfortable bed, closet and a bathroom completely covered with natural stones and views of the house's garden. In the color palette, soft tones.

Ninkasi House | Austin Bar - Afonso Tomoda. The space that houses Austin Bar was inspired by the goddess Ninkasi, goddess of alcohol, created to satisfy desire and satisfy the heart. The sustainable construction uses steel, drywall and stone as materials, giving the project an industrial touch. The house's tree makes up the suspended space, conveying the idea of a floating bar. The loose furniture includes chairs that have undergone carbonization and restoration, benches and a piece designed by Sérgio Rodrigues. The intimate lighting ensures coziness and the façade draws attention to its cantilevered structure.

Bauhaus House | Deca Space - Rosalinda Pinheiro. In the year of the Bauhaus centennial celebrations, a 52m² modernist house pays homage to the school that revolutionized global design and still influences many designers. There are two levels: the loft-style ground floor, with an integrated gourmet kitchen and large living room, and the upper terrace, with a gourmet counter, a large table and a living room with comfortable chairs. The vegetable garden is one of the highlights of the project.

Jardim dos Lagos - Flower Market. Inspired by the existing garden designed by Burle Marx, the Flower Market pays homage to the Brazilian artist who promoted landscaping in Brazil. The idea is to connect nature and decoration, inspiring well-being and comfort. With a variety of flowers and ornamental plants, as well as decorative items and tools, the space is also used for free workshops, becoming a meeting point for green enthusiasts. The space clearly and harmoniously embodies the combination of plants and flowers in real environments.

Estar Bem-estar - Joana Figueirêdo. Estar Bem-estar is a mixture of emotions, styles, personalities and elements. The colors used are inspired by the architect's mother. Tones upon tones refer to warmth, well-being and welcome, welcoming the visitor. The strong colors come from childhood memories and the lighter tones provide an air of sophistication and joy. The existing curved ceiling contrasts with more organic elements. The woodiness gives a rustic touch, without letting the contemporary style prevail. Finally, the black profiles, contouring all the walls, complete the puzzle, giving the room an even more modern and imposing look, connecting all the elements.

Publisher's Lounge - Roberto Pamplona Jr. In honor of Adriano Nogueira's 10 years of work as an editor and journalist at the head of Tapis Rouge magazine, the lounge was created to welcome guests and visitors, with a different location: the large living room is located beneath the site's leafy trees, with their sinuous trunks that look like sculptures. The light metal structure of the roof was covered in crystal plastic, so the treetops can be seen from inside.

My Place in the World - Carlos Otávio Arquitetura & Interiores. As an urban refuge, the loft is inspired by a cosmopolitan couple who live between two countries. The space symbolizes the warmth and affection of home, uniting the needs of contemporary man with natural elements, such as stone, wood, straw and metal, associating modernity with regionalism.

Greek Backlands - Ney Filho. The concept of the space, where the Zoi restaurant at Colosso Fortaleza operates, was based on an astral journey to a world where Greece and the Ceará backlands formed a single land. In this mix, mythology, fauna, flora and architecture make an unusual and happy combination. Where do myths come from? What are their origins? Will the backlands become the sea, and could this sea be the Mediterranean? In dreams, anything is possible. A perfect space to eat, drink and be happy. The panels are the points to be observed with the most attention. In them, you can see the entire design of the environment.

Eclipse in Sobral - Public Washrooms - João Dias. The space was inspired by the brutalist style, with a raw and minimalist aesthetic, angles, geometric shapes and a double-height ceiling. It houses the cabins, with different themes, and a room with washrooms and a space for applying makeup. The white and gold, the colors and textures, on the floor and walls, are combined with the large burgundy ceiling, from which water flows down to the mirror surrounded by sinks. In the outdoor area, a balcony, which serves as a meeting and resting point, enhances the contemplation of the local vegetation. Pieces of art, design and crafts from Ceará provide the final touch.

Ticket Office and Security Room - Leonardo Freire. Inspired by sustainability and intimacy, the Ticket Office and Security Room, the entrance and exit space of the house, makes a sustainable appeal through materials, furniture and also an enormous fluidity without the use of frames. The objective is to invade the internal space with the garden area, in an intimate way, creating a contrast with the hardness of materials and the coldness of raw colors. The colors come from the flora, with its different shades of green and vibrant colors.

Loft Mature - Thiago Von Paumgartten and Tildchen Von Paumgartten. The space was designed and planned for a modern, independent and dynamic woman in her prime. The project prioritizes spaciousness, energizing color palettes, the use of crafts and the exploration of regional culture and personal identity. It combines comfort and technology while also providing introspection. The elements tell the story of her origins, the solid foundations she has built throughout her career. The modern and contemporary represent where she wants to go.

Living Room - Brenda Rolim. The environment brings the concept of the typical living room of the past: receiving and communicating to visitors the tastes and values of its residents. In a space topped by a bolted barrel vault, the room combines materials and furniture from the Northeast with the space. Much of what was already there was repaired and cleaned: the concrete texture of the vault; the frames; the exposed bricks. The set of modulated pieces form a layout that allows new arrangements of the space. Highlighting the reuse of furniture and raw materials. The sofa, for example, is the same one that was used in the room the previous year and the floor was developed with cutting leftovers from the industry.

Café Urbano - Diego Studart. With the aim of making visitors and customers feel at ease, the Le Pain Le Cafe project, installed between four trees, brings inspiration from coffee shops around the world, with a delicatessen feel. In the window, products that can be purchased and consumed immediately. The low lighting, which gives a rustic and sophisticated touch, and the burnt cement highlight the black and white tiles and the marsala of the details. In the outdoor area, tables under the trees create a “street cafe” atmosphere.

Suite XX - Anik Mourão. The project seeks to rescue the roots and desires of the modernist movement, integrating the charm and sinuosity of classic styles in a lighter and more contemporary way and dialoguing with the architecture of the property. The project values natural materials and has an open, fluid and integrated floor plan, with classic design pieces, as well as furniture and carpentry designed by the architect.

CASACOR Square - Campelo Costa, Joaquim Cartaxo and Romeu Duarte. With a painted block floor in a checkerboard pattern, whose grid runs from the pillars on the ground floor of the building, the square is intended for CASACOR Ceará events and activities, forming a space for integration and entertainment. The planters, already present in the space, frame and delimit the area. Special mention goes to the honorees: Grupo J. Macêdo, Acácio Gil Borsói, Janete Costa and Roberto Burle Marx.

Hard Rock Hotel Suite - Alexandre Matos. The space is a presentation of the hotel's suite. The architecture is designed to delight, featuring a blend of the brand with regionalism, making each space a unique environment, generating a different experience at every moment, with comfort, exclusivity and sophistication. Textures and color palette stand out, in addition to the design, in harmony with the atmosphere of the place, making the environment familiar and conducive to enjoying the hotel's facilities.

Family Room - Tre Arquitetura. The architects chose the theme of affection as the starting point for the project. The space was designed to be cozy, full of memories and inviting, to experience the best and most unpretentious family moments. The use of softer and neutral colors with touches of caramel and green emphasizes this comfortable atmosphere.

Family Movie Theater - Luara Ciarlini and Pedro Paulo Rolim. The space combines technology, sophistication and comfort for different uses. It is a place to be, to interact and to socialize, with technology as an ally for moments of concentration on movies or relaxed get-togethers. The project combines lighting, audio, video and automation technology with the affection of being and gathering family and friends for moments and experiences.

Paraíso Library - Érico Monteiro. On the Canhotinho farm, owned by businessman José Macêdo, there was a dam called Paraíso. And it was from the dam and the rural climate that the environment was born, with a deconstructed base and focused on sustainability. Taking the white walls as a starting point, the proposal is to transport visitors to a stable, a barn, with key elements. The ceiling and doors were restored and cleaned and the existing wooden railing, which supported the house's wainscoting, now displays decorative objects and works of art. With minimal interventions, the library is a poetic tribute to family members and a journey for visitors.

A Voz do Verso Office - Architects Collection. Voz do Verso arose from a need to break with the tradition of the office as a male environment, giving a voice to all women through an interactive atmosphere, immersion in sounds and senses. The architects sought art and music as ways to represent this voice in the space, bringing traces of the singer Giovana Bezerra materialized from the entrance, through a large wall full of personal interpretations that guides the visitor to the bathroom. The setting features an installation of inverted dry branches, which refers to the artist's creative mind, in an autumn of thoughts that emerge and continue through time. The environment is designed by Manoella Linhares and Natália Benevides.

Family Terrace - Cibele Parreiras. The environment encourages family coexistence and the enjoyment of moments of tranquility in the various spaces. The table invites you for tasty meals, conversations and welcoming loved ones. Outdoors, the lake, with edges delimited by river stones, invites you to dip your toes and have greater contact with nature, present in the natural garden. The hammock at the entrance refers to regional customs, giving a feeling of freedom to those who enjoy it. A prayer space and one dedicated to coffee complement the environment. In the color palette, terracotta, aqua green, dry pink, coral and lime green interact with woody tones. Sustainability lies in reforested wood, the railing already existing in the house and the enhancement of natural lighting.

Twins Suite - Anellise Bluhm, Carol Timbó and Mirna Albuquerque. The Twins Suite is designed for parents and children, with safety and autonomy as its key words. Inspired by the studies of Montessori and Pickler, the space is suitable for children up to 7 years old and is divided into three areas: the rest area, with a mini crib that turns into a bed; the bathroom, conventional, but with features for children, such as a stepladder to the sink and free-access furniture; and the play area, dedicated to development, with a low shelf for storing toys, a mirror with support, a reading corner and a mezzanine. The chalkboard wallpaper becomes a sensory panel with dozens of activities, colors and textures.

Daughter's Suite - Amaury Jr. Inspired by a young woman full of personality who likes to welcome her friends into her corner. Divided into a bedroom, closet and bathroom, the suite also has a space with a sofa and table for studying and meetings. The choice of earthy tones brings a welcoming touch while the hanging garden and brick cladding give an air of warmth and personality to the space. The open closet concept has custom-made floor racks that help you choose outfits.

Creative Pavilion | Ceará handmade - Josafá Neto, Juliana Hissa and Zaíra Mendes. Architecture, crafts and design from Ceará come together and are celebrated in this affectionate environment. A store with straight lines and clean designs highlights the pieces signed by big names and selected through meticulous curation. Reminiscent of a pavilion, a large concrete box, the project gains colors with the objects on display, forming a scene. The lighting, designed to enhance the pieces and ornaments on display, includes functional and decorative lamps, also for sale.

Reliquary - Lavatory with Hallway by Ticiana Sanford. Affective memories served as a starting point for the project, such as the blue of the backlands farm and the exuberance of the tropical vegetation of the Guaramiranga and Meruoca mountains. Personal objects and furniture, some from the last century, form a reliquary of memories and show that it is possible to combine existing pieces with contemporary design, in a harmonious and sustainable way. Inside the lavatory, a blue atmosphere is provided by the Azuli stone from Ceará. Highlighting the installation of dried leaves made of biodegradable material by the artist Socorro Silveira, on the main staircase.

Cidade da Gente - Estar Urbano. The Cidade da Gente Project, launched in 2017 by the Fortaleza City Hall, aims to show how it is possible to give new use to the public space available on the streets, beyond the traffic of vehicles, making them safer and more inviting. This year, Estar Urbano, by architects Laura Rios and Liana Feingold, is responsible for the intervention, with geometric shapes inspired by Sérvulo Esmeraldo. At the entrance, the panel made with graphic printing technique on ceramics enchants visitors with a unique design by the artist. There are 655 m2 of art on the asphalt in predominant colors of green, red and yellow, referring to tropical nature. The design of the bicycle racks is based on elements of Sérvulo's work and is accompanied by benches and planters, made of recycled plastic wood. In the landscaping, native and tropical species were provided. Art, sustainability, safety, kindness and urbanity are the purposes of this project.

Porch - Inner Memory by Elias Petruço and Felipe Costa. Like a time machine, the Porch, inspired by inner memories, transports its visitors to an environment full of love, focused on family and that provides a feeling of comfort. Under the moonlight, the coziness of the environment makes you remember good times and rediscover your roots, bringing back the best of the past.

Brasil Original - Joel Filho and Karine Maia. The Brasil Original SEBRAE space has 140 m² at its disposal. This year, the theme “My Origins” was chosen and, therefore, the pieces made using embroidery and lace techniques are highlighted, such as the installation that forms a large labyrinth in the space. Elements of the house were preserved, such as bricks and marble. A new floor harmonizes with the existing one, creating a kind of patchwork. The existing lighting further enhances the project.

Traveler's Studio - André Monte. The space was created to be inhabited by someone who wants to have their own impression throughout their home, overflowing with personality, comfort and affection. Taking the theme "home planet" as a starting point, Traveler's Studio shows that each home is a unique universe. The individual who inhabits the space will feel enthusiastic about exploring and bringing into their home a little bit of each trip, based on the new, the different and the modern present in the various cultures visited, whether in the form of objects or in memories.

Cris Cavalcante Gallery - Claryanne Aguiar. Created and designed as a gallery for an artist in constant evolution, the space has an area dedicated to the works of Cris Cavalcante, also including the creative process. To achieve this, the space was expanded and transformed into a playful studio, with space for the sale of creations. Natural materials such as stone predominate in the project's proposal. The great charm is due to the waterfall in natural stone with 3D work. A façade with straight shapes and continuous lines invite the visitor to travel and immerse themselves in the artist's strokes.

Collector's Hall - Tatiana Mendes. From a space of passage to a place of permanence. In the Collector's Hall, works of art are used to capture attention and move, awakening feelings and memories and providing experiences and sensations. Thus, the space is dedicated to memories: of travels, friends and family. The environment brings together a mix of colors, textures and natural finishes. Among the objects and memories, the works of Claudio Cesar are among the collector's favorites.

J. Macêdo Space 80 years - Bravo! Intelligent Architecture. The tour begins with the silos, representing the wheat industry. Projections provide an immersion into the company's current activities. The floor, ceiling and walls in blue tones emphasize this immersion. Gold is used with an industrial base, through the concrete texture. Leaving the silos, the timeline begins. The sculpture by artist Assis Filho represents José Dias Macêdo based on a previously unpublished photograph. The timeline exposes the company's history and highlights its most important cycles. At the end, the affection of the family moment is transmitted through holography. Throughout the entire journey, a smell of bread fills the space, awakening memories and emotions in the visitor. Lia Feitosa, Conceição Garcez, Garcez Filho and Melina Pinheiro are responsible for the environment.

Dona Benta Kitchen - Vinícius Ferreira. Dona Benta Kitchen is inspired by the rescue of natural elements, reinterpreting traditional kitchen countertops with integrated spaces. Harmony is essential for receiving guests. The darker, earthy tones, unified with metal structures, made the space modern and bold, going beyond functionality. The details refer to the past, to emotions experienced through the senses. In the olfactory identity of the environment, vanilla awakens memories of grandma's cake. Regionalism is felt in the texture of the clay pots and in the lamps made with raw materials from Ceará, which highlight the strong personality of the local culture.

Roots - Adelina Feitosa and Manuela Cidrão. With the concept of rescuing the roots of Ceará, the space combines architecture, landscaping, sustainability, music and poetry. A modern “oca” with a metal structure, covered by a sophisticated weave made of carnauba straw, rests on a reflecting pool. Visitors can contemplate the garden from a raft provided by a fishing colony. Cushions and hammocks provide an experience in the large oca, to the sound of birds from the backlands.

Dining Room - Cláudia Castelo Branco. Aiming to be a fluid and authentic space, the Dining Room features elegant décor, based on a minimalist design, with sober and discreet colors, in a spacious and comfortable space, full of works of art and noble materials. Wooden and slatted panels embrace the room, integrated with the open bar, creating a functional and cozy environment. The exclusive rugs and designer furniture stand out, as do the motorized curtains and blinds, in soft tones. Works of art and sculptures on display decorate the space. The open bar, with a wine cellar and beer cooler, invites you to a moment of relaxation and conviviality. Lighting pieces enhance the environment and the green of the plants is used as a wildcard.

Original Cuisine - Ana Virginia Furlani. The environment is a rescue of all the kitchens that the architect carries in her memory, with elements that make reference to these memories. Terracotta, the color of clay, is adopted on the floor, walls and ceiling, both in the tiles and in the texture. The lighting is indirect, cozy. The kitchen furniture is on display, allowing the chef to see everything that is arranged on the shelves and shelves. In the loose furniture, there are few but striking pieces. The more than 6 meter long table invites visitors to sit and share the experience with others. The single block of huge sofas creates a living kitchen feel. In the decoration, lemon trees, orange trees, pomegranate trees, peppers and peppers, combined with recipe books.

Tropical Oasis - Thiago Borges. Contact with nature is the key point of the environment, which has as its main element the natural pool. Developed from a special filtration system, which generates 100% transparent water without chemical additives, the attraction functions as a lake, allowing people to bathe and interact with fish and aquatic plants. Divided into three levels, the pool has a waterfall, an exclusive area for plants and a bathing area.

Canteiros - Arthur Bonavides. Proposing an intimate environment, the arrangement of the elements that make up the space translates into perfect harmony capable of instigating the senses, creating a direct connection between man and nature. The living sculptures, made of jabuticaba trees, elephant's feet and lacquer palm, transcend emotions and are contemplated as works of art. To compose the space, water mirrors at strategic points allow the reflection of the environment, providing visual and auditory perceptions.

CASACOR Ceará 2019 opens its doors and reveals the most sustainable edition that has ever been proud of its roots. A sign of the maturity reached in the 21st edition of the event, showing a perspective that embraces local references in tune with the global. Whether in the themes, materials and the way of thinking and doing architecture, design and landscaping. The result can be seen in the strong identity of the 39 environments signed by 67 professionals.

Sustainability in all processes

The application of the concept of sustainability took place in its most complete conception. The entire work and spaces made maximum use of local resources and producers, in addition to prioritizing the reuse and reframing of materials and objects. This inspiration - and also a need of current and future times - also drove the choice of more efficient construction methods, with minimal waste and water reuse. For the first time, in fact, CASACOR Ceará houses a composting machine. It uses organic waste from the restaurant, cafe and bar to generate fertilizer that feeds the gardens and plant seedlings, available to visitors.

Headquarters with renewed air

With an area of 10 thousand square meters, the headquarters includes a residence and a commercial building designed by renowned architect Acácio Gil Borsoi. One of the highlights is the garden, with its original design restored by landscaper Roberto Burle Marx. The place served as home for Benedito Macedo and his family until 1975, when it became part of the J.Macêdo group. The property already hosted CASACOR Ceará in 2009, was redesigned in 2018 with another circuit and, this year, has renovated areas.

Art and affection

The great inspiration is the Planeta Casa concept, based on the tendency of each house to become the individual's private universe. Natural textures conquer many projects, especially with wood and braided fibers. Swing hammocks, objects full of memory and other items create affective environments. Along these lines, art is incorporated and valued in the most diverse aspects, bringing the talent of artisans, painters, sculptors and the professionals themselves who developed the spaces.
