CASACOR Brasília 2018: the nature of the details at the Treetop Balcony
An abundance of natural light enters, in a poetic way, the 90 of the Treetop Balcony at CASACOR Brasília 2018. Designed by Studio Carolina Nathair, the aim of the space is to create a natural, rustic and comfortable atmosphere, breaking away from clichés. “Parti a lot of research is needed to design a timeless environment, full of personality and that is a sensory experience for the visitor”, says the professional. The central element of the balcony is a Pittosporum tobira tree, a species typical of Portugal, but nature is present in almost all the decoration. Among the furniture, the highlights are the handcrafted buriti straw lamps, as well as the Atibaia chairs and table. dining room by designer Paulo Alves. The poufs are very representative elements of the space's ideal. One of them is the Anori , made with straw by Thai Pawinee Sukhasvasti and the other, more rounded in leather and raffia fabric (textile fibers from palm trees), is designed by Elisa Atheniense Home. Both are available for those who want to settle in one more relaxed way and enjoy the warmth of the sun. To complete, gourd necklaces adorn the walls and a blanket made with 3 thousand coconut seeds. The appreciation of this nature was not limited to the materials; the works of art and design pieces follow the same theme. The environment features a painting from the series Pescador de Luz VII, by Lara Matana, created with “waste from sliced wood sheets, from of timber industries in Mato Grosso”, according to the artist.
