CASACOR 2016: the rustic touch of exposed brick in 17 environments

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Living dos Amigos - Alexandra Tobler. This urban oasis brings references to the Scandinavian style, evident in the pastel tones. They combine with the emotional memories present in toys found in thrift stores. Nature also plays a central role in making the environment welcoming, present in the green wall of succulents and the rock crystal chandelier.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Dining Room - Marise Marini. Everything is cozy, with exposed brick walls and wood-look vinyl flooring. The furniture is a mix of the Scapinelli armchair by Giuseppe Scapinelli; French chairs in beech and straw from the mid-19th century; and a century-old Brazilian table in peroba do campo. The lighting by Giani Faccini takes advantage of the slab ceiling to create rails and pendants at different heights above the table.

CASACOR Rio de Janeiro 2016. Wine cellar - Jacira Pinheiro. In the basement of the mansion, the original wine cellar had walls and a vaulted ceiling made of solid bricks, in addition to the solid wood flooring that surprised us during the restoration. With this base, the 18 m² required few and good interventions, just to gain functionality. Contemporary pieces converse with objects from the antique dealer Arnaldo Danemberg. The lighting is punctual, in pieces such as the Delight wall light by Ingo Maurer.

CASACOR Brasília 2016. Music Room – Clarissa Braga, Manuella Leite and Cristhiane Rauppp (Esquina Arquitetura). These 78m² spaces breathe nature, with the use of green and rustic coverings. Among them, a brick wall, another in natural stone and vinyl flooring with a wood appearance. Art is in every detail, whether in the iconic central light fixture or the sculpture by Paulo de Paula. The furniture has simple and uncluttered lines, such as the armchairs by Fabricio Roncca.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Study Room - Natália Maciel and Rachel Borges. Neutral tones, natural wood and exposed brick are some of the elements that refer to rusticity and give a democratic touch to the 21 m² multipurpose space. The loose furniture provides versatility, and the joinery also follows a light and sober line. The color comes from the paintings of Aurélia Cerulei, Marcelo Solá and Fabiana Queiroga.

CASACOR São Paulo 2016. Boulangerie - Idália Daudt. In this project, with the exception of the cladding, all materials were reused to create a rustic environment with French references. To contrast with the burnt cement walls, pieces in yellow, orange and red were chosen.

CASACOR Ceará 2016. Public Restrooms - Joanne Ximenes, Karine Maia and Joel Castro Filho. The façade combines various shades of stone to maintain the project's natural appeal. It houses the living area with cabins, measuring 40 m². Hydraulic tiles and wainscoting were used on the walls, and half of the walls are covered in wainscoting. For an even more welcoming space, note that the ceiling is filled with vegetation. The black fixtures are from Deca.

CASACOR Ceará 2016. Bar - Diego Studart. The counter uses semi-finished brick, which also covers some walls. To accompany it, benches with a Ceará design. The ceiling was produced with parameterization, a method of cutting raw MDF sheets.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Public Bathrooms - Alex Dalcin and Tati Tavares. The industrial style predominates in the mix of corten steel, iron, copper, wood, PVC, glass, ceramic and natural stones. The duo prioritized large-format coverings, exposed bricks and non-slip surfaces. The crown molding was made of oxidized iron, and the copper and wood pendant is also a highlight.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Library – Cláudia Zuppani. The warehouse was filled with large-scale and iconic furniture, such as the Jader Almeida bookcase, and armchairs by Lina Bo Bardi and Sérgio Rodrigo. The carpet on the floor minimizes noise and contributes to a reading environment.

CASACOR Minas Gerais 2016. Men's Bathroom and Workshop - Bárbara Sales. The workshop was incorporated into the bathroom, as an extension of the adventurous and pioneering lifestyle in the residential environment. Sophistication comes in the details, such as the irregular burnt brick that covers one wall and the floor that alternates between draining coating and Italian porcelain tiles with a concrete appearance. To reinforce the industrial style, the shelving unit made of metal profiles and hardwood enters the scene.

CASACOR Espirito Santo 2016. Design Store - Amanda Abranches. The architect is also a set designer and created a box of surprises. The space is dominated by the color black on the ceiling, walls and exposed hardware. Exposed bricks reinforce the industrial style. Copper balances the composition, as do the lacquered niches. Everything to enhance every detail of the design pieces developed especially for CASA COR ES.

CASACOR Paraíba 2016. Adega da Serra – Danielle Mindêlo and Deyse Porto. The challenge was to achieve a contemporary result without giving up the rustic elements typical of a wine cellar, such as the handcrafted adobe brick on the walls. Another reference is the burgundy applied to the carpentry details, which recalls the tone of the best wines.

CASACOR Espirito Santo 2016. Box office & Entrance Lounge - Alexandre Cardim. The space is organized on two levels, creating two environments that are a meeting point for visitors. The floor is the same in both: a Spanish porcelain tile that resembles burnt cement. On the walls and ceiling, the texture is Italian, complemented by black cement bricks. The style is industrial, but there is space for plants distributed on suspended mats made of corten steel. The canvases are by artists Andre Crespo and Yoshihiko Tsutsumi.

CASACOR Ceará 2016. Gourmet Space - Kel Oliveira. The walls, sometimes covered in bricks and sometimes in wooden sheets, are washed by the lighting that comes from the geometric ceiling. It was cut in one spot for a special reason: to allow the site's original tree to remain there, surrounded by a glass box.

CASACOR Goiás 2016. Casa da Dina – Flávia Araújo, Juliana Resende and Ednara Braga. The industrial concept inspired by New York lofts contributes to creating a project that preserves the structure of the space. The brick, for example, is part of the building's original construction and was displayed as a work of art. The reclaimed wood floor, exposed copper piping and cement coating affirm the style.
