Renault Living Garage Project for CASACOR SC is a transportable house, to be taken wherever adventure calls

Being passionate about hitting the road is often synonymous with a life without roots, especially when it comes to housing. But the Renault Cabin, designed by Tais Adriana Marchetti Bonetti and Giovani Bonetti for CASACOR Santa Catarina , proves that there are other possible paths. These are compact and nomadic homes , which have all the essential spaces for the resident's comfort in just 50 square meters of area. 
The “box” that gives shape to the house was built using the Wood Frame system, by Bolsoni Construtora. This type of building does not require the use of formwork for pillars and beams, since the walls themselves are structural, composed of reforested wood profiles. On the outside, the cabin was covered with miniwave aluminum sheets by Hunter Douglas, with the interior also made of reforested Elliott Pine wood, carbonized in a dark gray tone, supplied by Galeria Haiko. The decor is basic and utilitarian – so much so that the same piece of furniture is both a sofa and a bed, indicating total integration between the living room and bedroom. A small kitchen and bathroom complete the space, ensuring comfort and mobility. The space also features a bookshelf made from monkeys and a table with fire extinguisher legs, pieces created by architect and designer Mauricio Arruda, ambassador of the Renault Garagem de Estar project. “We used bamboo with a special rubber finish for the furniture. The wooden structure helps reduce environmental impact and combines solar energy capture with Elektsolar photovoltaic panels and rainwater storage with Bella Calha,” the architect highlights.
