CASA COR SP: unequal shapes draw attention at the show's box office

Anyone who enters CASA COR São Paulo 2016 is immediately surprised by a bold and irreverent ticket office. Designed by Campinas architect Otto Felix, a debutant at the show, the space boasts a grandeur that goes beyond its usefulness. The Reception Pavilion features an intense and cerebral architecture, proving that homes can go beyond conventional geometric shapes.

The 75 m² space is divided into three areas: living room, dining room and kitchen. The structure of the house was developed by the architect, who integrates it with the surroundings in a natural and beautiful way. From the outside, the uneven shapes of the building covered in titanium plates that can vary in shades of grey depending on the daylight attract the attention of visitors. Inside, the wooden structure itself forms part of the decoration, giving shape to the walls and shelves. In this environment, press professionals can exchange ideas, conduct interviews or even rest a little. Right at the entrance, visitors buy their tickets and have the option of storing their belongings to visit the exhibition with more peace and comfort. Otto Felix is also launching two pieces of his own design: the Joaquim Egídio sofa and the K table, which will be used in the space alongside pieces from Saccaro, Dpot and other design brands. The lighting is provided only by LED points embedded in the wooden beams; the floor is covered in Portinari, following the gray and wood tones that make up the space.
