CASACOR SP 2016: Space with historical references to the Bauhaus

The professionals at CASA COR São Paulo 2016 were inspired by the entire historical and architectural context of the Jockey Outpatient Clinic Building to create concepts for their spaces based on moments in the history of art and architecture. Marina Linhares, who designed Espaço Deca , did no different and when designing the 200 m² space, she based herself on Bauhaus references in close relation with architecture.

There, Marina uses contemporary furniture such as the Deslize coffee table by designer Claudia Moreira Salles, from ETEL, in contrast to more modernist pieces, including the FDC armchair by Flávio de Carvalho with a 1939 design, as well as other classics such as the Anel armchair by Ricardo Fasanello and the Geraldo de Barros armchair. For the professional, “it is extremely important to value spaces where coexistence and intimacy happen”. Deca and CASA COR are committed to sustainable products. That is why Marina uses thermally and acoustically insulated tiles and walls, LED lighting, a water reuse system in the gourmet kitchen and showers, reforested wood, pine joinery and flooring, an eco-friendly fireplace, water-based paints and, in addition, all Deca items feature water-saving technology. “The alignment of ideas happened very naturally, since the requirements are in line with what I think and apply in my projects. Whenever we create a project, we give it our best and we want to show what we have in terms of trends, without losing the predominant characteristics of our work, which is to bring comfort to living,” says Marina.
