CASACOR celebrates 30 years and the party has a special guest.
Paraíba joins the program and surprises with 39 environments at its debut. Over the last few months, more than 90 professionals have been involved in the enhancement and preservation of an important modernist construction: the Cassiano Ribeiro Coutinho Residence. The house, located in João Pessoa, was designed in the mid-1950s by architect Acácio Gil Borsoi, with landscaping by Roberto Burle Marx. The work presents a light and clean volume, using typical construction elements such as cobogós, brises and tiles. This architectural legacy was the starting point for the projects, which highlighted references to lace, vernacular architecture, handmade bricks, semi-arid vegetation and other local elements. A meeting is promoted between the regional and styles in evidence around the world, with emphasis on the industrial in a very sober version and the classic. There is room for trends such as rose quartz - color of the year according to Pantone -, geometries in 3D coverings and especially furniture with a metallic finish. In fact, corten steel is on the rise, as are cut-out hollow panels, which delimit environments without reducing the generous light that makes the capital of Paraíba even more welcoming. This is the Paraíba way of doing architecture, decoration and landscaping, which you can see in the gallery above!
